Just tried **Taste of India** in Grand Blanc for the first time, and it completely won me over! From the inviting atmosphere to the incredible flavors, this place is a gem. I ordered the **butter chicken** and **garlic naan**—both were outstanding. The chicken was tender in a rich, aromatic sauce, and the naan was fresh, fluffy, and perfectly charred. Portions were generous, and everything tasted authentically spiced and homemade. Though I didn’t try it this time, I noticed they offer **dosa** on the menu (a South Indian specialty I rarely see locally)—I’m already planning to try it on my next visit! Service was warm and attentive—the staff took time to explain dishes and checked in regularly. The restaurant itself was clean, cozy, and smelled amazing. For authentic Indian food in Grand Blanc, Taste of India delivers. Whether you’re new to the cuisine or a longtime fan, this spot is a must-try. **Highly recommended!**

Avoid takeout at this time! The name says it all, a “taste” of India is what we received. We will not be ordering again soon due to the ridiculous portion / price ratio. $16ea dish for 4-5 small chunks of chicken. The small takeout containers were 65% sauce paired with 1-2 cups rice. The food tasted authentic (butter chicken, Tikka Masala, 2 garlic naan, and veg pakora). The side order of Veg Pakora was acceptable. For 2 adults ordering dinner totaling $60 it was closer to apps portions. Unfortunate but I would stick to buffet or dine in as hopefully the value is better. Hopefully they correct or they’ll inevitably have many more unhappy takeout customers. Pictured takeout portions and leftover sauce. Disappointed as the food was great, just not the value.

Great food, smaller portions. The Lamb Korma was excellent but had less than 3oz (3 or 4 1" pieces) of actual lamb. The lamb biryani, however, was loaded with Lamb! A better balance of protein would've made it a better experience overall. The bathura was great. Service started out with complimentary bread and dipping sauces, all of which were great. The Fish Tikka, also not bad, but the fish (Tilapia - one of my least favorite white fish) and the sauce were overcooked. All in all, not bad for the area and I hope to see them improve over time. I can't be too hard on them since this is a recent launch. I will be back for another visit.

I’m really blown away with this restaurant! First, the interior is really posh and pleasing to look at but also comfortable and relaxing. I really appreciated their chairs. We ordered the lamb briyani (spicy), mushroom masala (medium), garlic naan and the onion kulcha. I’ve ordered a ton of masala’s in my life and this had to be my favorite. Not too dense or creamy but full of flavor that wakes you up and allows you to really taste the freshness of the tomato and onion base. My husband loves heat so he got spicy briyani, he said it was the perfect heat. This was our first briyani and will definitely order again. A different flavor, and again, the full robust flavors! Just made us go back bite after bite. It’s severed family style so easily shareable, which of course we did, and plenty to take home for late night left overs when we want to relive this meal. We saw so many interesting dishes being delivered to tables, the waiters were really good at explaining the dish and making future recommendations. We’re excited to try again. It looks like they have a pretty good take out operation, we’re usually home bodies, so we will be trying the take out next time! Lastly, no matter what you order, do yourself a favor and get the garlic naan and if you’re feeling fancy the mango lassi. Delicious mango yogurt drink that cools the mouth down and satisfies that little sweet tooth. We were too enamored to take photos, sorry...

I feel like so far I'm the only one who's had a bad experience with this place which is so unfortunate because the food is AMAZING. However I can't ignore the hour and ten minute wait for our takeout order, which included them scrambling to come up with what to do when their cheese naan ingredients ran out. Instead of calling the number they asked us to leave with them my boyfriend had to actually go in and find out what the hold up was. I was willing to ignore the wait and the naan holdup because the food smelt amazing but unfortunately when we got home to eat I noticed my butter chicken was actually some form of tofu dish. I'm chalking it up to this being a new restaurant but we won't be back for a couple months while they figure out their groove which is so disheartening because it's some of the best indian food...
