Bonzer's Sandwich Pub — Restaurant in Grand Forks

Wish I could put 0 stars. Very disappointed. First off, the service was God awful. We sat down at the same time as 2 other parties. One party got their food, drinks, AND ticket paid before the other two parties had a chance to order. The other party got up and left very upset. We stayed and waited 30 minutes to order food and waited another 30 minutes to get the simple grocery store shredded cheese melted over some tortilla chips. The menu said nachos but I wonder what else they were doing the entire time it takes to make 30 second nachos. The table was oddly sticky. My menu was stuck to it. Finally, there was a casino section. The neon light above the doorway was on and all the machines were on. One would figure it’s safe to go in, right? Wrong!! I played some games, printed a ticket and went to the bar to cash out. No one was able/no one wanted to cash out my ticket. They told me to wait after the lunch rush. It’s clearly well in the afternoon. I’m only here a short time for a graduation and I live 6 hours away. There’s no way I’d ever come back to this place. One employee made a comment that the casino machines shouldn’t even be on… well, too late for that. Don’t waste your time on this place unless if you’re drunk...

I used to come here until my friends witnessed them wrongly fire their only good bouncer who actually did his job right. We were outside with him smoking a cig when this highly drunk trio accused him of grabbing one of them because he refused them entry until they let him check their ID as THAT WAS HIS JOB. We're never coming back since we see just how hostile of an environment this place is and they fire those who don't bend the rules slightly. Maybe instead of firing someone without actually knowing what happened try and get the full story. Would give 0/5 stars if it was an option UPDATE: I also seen their bouncer Evan or Ethan check my good friend Matthew at Joe blacks and ran away after Matthew Challenged him. Piss poor service and even worse for allowing hostility.

Update: came into bonzers Friday night before I met with Matthew downtown at the loft. I saw 28 minors being served who all attend UND currently. I honestly don't know how Bonzers hasn't been shut down yet since their food, service, and environment are extremely poor and extremely hostile when the bartenders can't g even fake being nice to...

Horrible food they obviously don't have a real cook that knows how to season food let alone taste it before selling it. I just moved close by figured I check it out I ordered soup sandwich and a salad. The soup was chicken and dumplings tasted like Plado so gross omg I tried with salt pepper and crackers. Don't bother chef unless you taste your food. The taco sandwich is a sloppy joe gross just like dog food. My salad tasted good but the lettuce was hot all greens with crunchy. Just a complete waste of money. I thought by the sign it was amazing food. It wasn't it was like giving your money away for dog slop that goes in the trash. I'm sure this is just a cool place to drink a beer and hang out. Got kid bartenders that just ignore you I had to take my cc out of my wallet and sit there at the bar it was not busy at all. Not a good experience this is a bar to drink and that's it not a restaurant. They don't have a real cook that actually tastes the food.
