I honestly can't say enough good things about my recent visit to Romantix in Grand Forks. Before I went, I had some reservations, largely fueled by some of the negative perceptions I'd picked up from the Grand Forks Herald. I was worried it might not be a welcoming place for everyone, and I almost let that stop me from going. Boy, am I glad I didn't! From the moment I walked in, Brandie, the manager, completely changed my perspective. She immediately made me feel incredibly welcomed and at ease. Brandie went above and beyond, not just with her friendly demeanor, but by genuinely demonstrating how inclusive the store is for anyone and everyone. She took the time to answer my questions and really showed me that Romantix is a judgment-free zone. My worries vanished instantly, replaced by a sense of comfort and acceptance. This isn't just a store; it's a place where you'll be treated with respect and made to feel valued, no matter who you are. Brandie is truly a gem, and her dedication to creating such a positive environment shines through. I really am not the kind of person to give bad reviews. Everyone has bad days. But after my experience with the cashier this afternoon… He was incredibly rude and hostile right off the bat when asking for ID and where I prefer my purse be kept while I shop. So I didn’t really feel comfortable taking my time in the store anyway but he was the same when I went to check out. Thrust my bag back at me from under the counter and spoke to me with the same rudeness as before. I didn’t feel welcome at all and don’t think I plan to return for a while. You work at an adult store, dude. You think most people coming in will feel comfortable buying those kind of products from a cashier like that? Get a grip. I was in town for the first time visiting Grand Forks and I just had to stop in to visit an adult store and Romantix was first to be suggested! I’m so glad I was able to visit the store is very clean and the staff is very friendly and very very welcoming!!!! They had everything you can think of. I was very surprised of the wide selection if I could, I would buy a little bit of everything. I loved all the thirteen pride flags hanging around the store it made me and my friends feel even more comfortable! I’ll definitely be back especially to visit Brandy and the others!
