It's a Starbucks, you know what to expect.
REVISED OCT 2022:
Too many drink mistakes for me to go back. Latest situation was when I stopped into the cafe when it was a busy Saturday. I get that it's busy, that's not the issue. I can be very patient, I am not in a hurry.
The problem is that staff are not trained to be consistent with drink orders. My drink for inside the cafe was placed in the mobile orders corral. I didn't hear the staff say my name, though some of the staff did say names when they placed drinks for pickup. Others didn't, which makes it difficult for anyone to know what is what. My name was not called. I noticed a drink I thought might be mine, but before I go to it, three customers grabbed it, each from the top of the lid. They each spun it around to see whose name was on it. I finally went over and saw it was mine. But no employee had called my name (it was marked for in-store, not mobile but had been placed in mobile pickup corral).
I'm not taking a drink that's been handled by several people from the top of the lid where I am supposed to drink from it.
This situation is easily solved: train employees to call out names on drinks AND place drink labels out. It's not hard, nor would it take more time.
Dear Starbucks: Speed isn't the most important thing. Accuracy and customer satisfaction are.
I walked out and left my drink on the counter. I won't be back. After 5-6 drink mistakes, this is the last chance that store gets.
I honestly think I am done with Starbucks. Mostly, the stores are concerned with SPEED SPEED SPEED. Not customer satisfaction. I also can't stomach the disgusting dirtiness of almost every Starbucks dining area.
A few weeks ago I was in a Starbucks cafe working for a while on my laptop, and I was nearby where the staff was being trained. The theme was being personable with customers, asking them how their day is going, being friendly, etc. Yet that store is one of the rudest, most employee-self-focused of any I have been in. They never come out from behind the counter to clean tables, and outside of one or two employees, the staff is immature and rude. That location is in Standale. I've had employees there talk about me and make fun of me (for some reason), and usually the staff is in an employee meeting or chatting amongst themselves. Rather than cleaning the store or being friendly and helpful to customers.
Starbucks second huge failure: customers are seen as interruptions to the staff. This is especially true at the location on Lake Michigan Ave in Standale.
You lost a customer who was typically putting 150-250 stars a week on my Starbucks app. I know you don't care, because well...you're a corporation and you don't care...
Read moreI love this Starbucks. You get a good drink every time you come. Even if you have to wait a couple minutes it's worth the wait because you know that they're making your drink the right way. After having so many incidences that other coffee shops where they don't know what they're doing it's so nice to go into Starbucks knowing anything I order at this facility I'm going to enjoy.
Recently I ordered the new I think it's called The thin mint mocha oh my goodness it's absolutely delicious. First let me State I don't like chocolate in my coffee. So when I went to order this drink I told the barista that I would prefer to switch out the mocha for white chocolate. And then she informed me that they don't use any chocolate flavoring it's actually white chocolate flavoring they use and then they add chocolate sauce. So if you're somebody that does not prefer chocolate in your coffee and you prefer white chocolate you should still get this a drink it's delicious.
The staff is always very very friendly I always feel welcome a lot of places in Grand Haven I think they're stuck-up and they're rude but when I go in here they don't act like that. Kudos to the whole entire staff at Starbucks in Grand Haven.
I just have one small suggestion to make, one time I was working in Grand Haven, I drive around for my job because I clean houses, I needed charger for my phone. I only had about seven bucks on me and I want into Starbucks to see if they had any chargers because then I would order a coffee and sit let my phone charge. But y'all didn't have any which I figured anyways but I thought it was worth a shot. I think you guys should keep a couple community chargers underneath your counter and maybe have them for people that need to charge their devices. Maybe you should have a charging station in the coffee shop and then people would come in there and charge their phones and then they would order something while they're waiting. I know that I would have done that for sure so just...
Read moreThe WORST location I've been to. They didn't have the station set up, couldn't make any of the drinks we requested and the restroom was flooded and looked sand(?) covered. When leaving though it got surreal. An employee came out and accused us of opening our door too quickly and possibly dinging his red mini Cooper. My husband displayed the fact that our door wouldn't even reach.. And the guy proceeded to lick his finger and rub the ding" off... (yep. It was dirt!) you'd think he'd apologize... But nope! Stayed and harassed us about how we shouldn't open doors quickly. Unbelievable unprofessionalism. He was such a nut we documented the matter with video and photos. I'd highly recommend avoiding...
