Went there last night, had a pretty simple order and asked the employee to make sure the fries were fresh. They even told us to pull up and we waited for about 5 minutes, someone came out and brought the sandwiches and not the fries at that point we assumed that meant they were making our fries fresh. We got our food and the fries were not fresh, they were cold and soggy. When mentioned to the waiter that the fries were not fresh and we would like another batch he said “ I think they are fresh, I’m pretty sure we just dropped them in” in so many words. I’m pretty sure we would know what fresh fries taste like so we said no they are not we would like another batch. They also gave us the wrong lemonade and we asked for another one. The waiter said ok but it was clear he had an attitude. He stared at us and rolled his eyes and mumbled something under his breath. He walked back into the restaurant we waited for another 5-7 minutes and he never came back. We drove back to the serving window and two employees saw us including the server with the attitude. I beeped my horn thinking maybe they didn’t see us but they still ignored us. They looked like they were closing up, while I understand how frustrating it is when people come to your place of business close to closing hours we made it there in a good enough time before they closed and they messed up our order so that was their fault. (Although the hours on google say 11 and we got there around 10:15.) We drove off because the employees continued to ignored us, we never got our fresh fries. Even looked at us and walked towards the back. So rude and unprofessional. If I could give 0 stars I would. DO NOT GO HERE, find another Wendy’s. From the look of their ratings this seems to happen a bit. I wanted to GO OFF lol but I let it roll and now I’m here ! It’s called customer service for a reason and this establishment needs...
Read moreI have gotten Door Dash from here maybe 5 or 6 times. And every single time, minus once, my order has been incorrect. Now, the worst part is that it's not that I get someone else's order, it's the simple request of minus cheese minus mayo. Now, I absolutely hate cheese on my burgers. And no matter how many times I tap that "remove cheese" option on my doordash app, Wendy's just wants to continue their affair with cheese. My boyfriend however, his arch nemesis is mayo. His visceral reaction makes my soul hurt because he hates mayo worse than I hate cheese. See I like SOME cheese on SOME things. Nachos. Fries. Some sandwiches. But him and his bestie mayo? Not a chance, good sir. He doesn't even eat deviled eggs (which come on. They're delicious.)
I'm not sure why I'm shocked that this order was also wrong. See I was smart (or so I thought) and decided to order nugs instead of a burger to prevent this mistaken. I was given spicy chicken nuggets instead of my regular nugs. Their nugs are literally my favorite thing ever so the extra "kick" was not expected. But yes. My poor boyfriend has mayo as well on his sandwich. Why there was mayo after he diligently begged for Wendy's to not get near his burger with it by utilizing the "remove mayo" option, we're not sure. But here we are: a chicken sandwich that's been assaulted by mayo to the point of "no turning back", and driving back to Wendy's after dropping dough on Door Dash to prevent us from driving there.
The manager did offer to remake our ENTIRE order which we declined, but we accepted the new sandwich and nugs. And of course Doordash only refunded us 50% of the order because fees are ridiculous. But guys. Please stop assaulting the food despite the REMOVE...
Read moreWhere do I begin? The first thing I noticed when I walked in was that every table was dirty. There was food, cups, and even a hoodie left at the table closest to the register. A laptop was sitting unattended on the high-top table.
I ordered two Jr. Bacon Cheeseburgers, which took almost 15 minutes to receive. While waiting, I couldn’t help but notice that every surface in the lobby was filthy — tables, counters, even the drink station.
As I watched the staff, I saw that all three employees working had beards and long hair but no beard nets. Two wore hats, but the one preparing food did not have a hat or hair net. At one point, I watched him brush his greasy hair out of his face with a gloved hand, then continue making food without changing gloves.
After about ten minutes, someone came in from outside — not in uniform, wearing red pants and a very dirty hoodie. He had on a random hat and immediately began helping make food without putting gloves on. A few minutes later, another person entered from outside in dirty street clothes, again with no uniform, and walked straight to the back to start working.
Prior to this visit, I thought Wendy’s was the last good burger place in Grand Haven. After this experience, I will never return to this location and will tell everyone I know to avoid it. If I had a phone with me at the time, I would have posted pictures to show just how disgusting...
