Pizza Ranch — Restaurant in Grand Island

It's $13.50 each . Pop/tea are mandatory and included so cant just skip that and choose water. It's an all you can eat buffet but they often have trouble keeping up with baking pizza when busy so the only choices are what they have ready and put out on the buffet at any given moment. I don't like some ingredients so end up waiting for what I want to get set out. I seldom see hamburger or sausage pizza. Often just pepperoni, pineapple, cheese, and veggies.Sometimes they are under baked for my taste. Probably because they dont have enough oven capacity for a big crowd and this place seats a lot. They need to be prepared for the number of folks they can seat and they fall short at times. Decent salad bar. They offer separate small buffet which features fried chicken but it's hit and miss on crispness and freshness of the oil it's fried in. But of course it is a pizza place so what do you expect? They play all Christian music through background speakers. I personally like that. They have a large arcade in back room with a camera shown on a tv to monitor kids. The atmosphere is a bit packed in dining area. Soft serve ice cream is a nice feature. Overall I much prefer Valentinino"s here in Grand Island. We drove 4 hours just to get to this place. We arrive 8:03pm, parked the car, get down with the kids very excited as it is not available where we live. While walking towards the restaurant there's a big guy standing outside with the pizza ranch hat on his head (assuming he work there). He stops as from getting in, and said we are not accepting customer anymore as we are closing early today. And my husband said It says you close at 9pm, then he answered, "well yeah reason why we start cleaning by 8;30pm". At that moment my husband looked at the time and said it's just 8:11. Then he looked at his phone and said " well today we are closing early" with angry tone on his voice. As we looked inside there's only couple tables/customer eating, but the pizza ranch crew are already busy clearing the food bar @8pm. The guy says, as you can see, we are already cleaning so if you get in there will be no more food in the bar.

We are really very disappointed. The crew are obviously deciding to close it early by themselves. As they send this guy outside to stop people from getting in. We don't recommend this place, very poor...

Truely incredibly manager and facility. They went way above and beyond any expectations to deliver top quality service and care. My family and I were driving from Denver to Chicago on the final leg of our vacation and really wanted to stop at our favorite pizza buffet. We called to check that they were open and we could get in if we were close to closing time. They said Yes and to come in. When we arrived the doors were locked because they closed early due to staffing issues. I spoke with the manager and let him know we called and they said to come in, he graciously opened up for us and welcomed us in. They made us a fresh pizza and let us enjoy the buffet without anyone else around. The food was still hot and very good, the desserts were awesome, and the whole family had everything they wanted. The entire experience was beyond top notch. The manager stopped by several times to check on us and apologized for the lack of staff. I would recommend this location to everyone, and I would recommend the store manager for promotion, he is a shining example of how to...
