I would give a minus 5 if it was possible. I ordered in person for takeout with 4 different orders for different people, we are very busy at work and wanted a nice meal. I read every order and the man wrote it down, it was specific to that order what was requested. I waited half an hour, and when it was ready, they rang it all up together. I told them again it was 4 different orders with different credit cards. SO they went in the back and seperated them out. I gave the card for each one and they put them in seperately. I didnt check the bags because I thought they would know what they were doing. I should know better. I drove the 30 minutes back to work, only to find out the didnt give us more than half of what we ordered. They forgot the Red and Green chili on all the orders, the didnt put in the sour cream, and also forgot a cheese sauce. They charged for these items, but we didnt get them. They burned the Chile relliano so it was not even edible. I called, and they blamed me for the error, saying it never got written, so I wonder how we had to pay for it if it was not in writing. They wouldnt bring it to my work, they wanted me to go there and pick up what they forgot. I again, am at work and cant take more time off to do that. I wont go back, nor do I recommend it to anyone. Read moreI ate at approximately 4 p.m. There was a birthday party going on. One has to walk between all the tables to the bar to get seated. I was visited a total of 3 times by the server: Once to take my drink order, once to take my food order, once to deliver the food. After I was done, I waited 20 minutes for the check. I had to go up to the bar, where it was apparent that the server had forgotten I was there.
As for the food, it was average at best. The salsa was watery but had a nice fresh taste and spicy kick. The cole slaw was extremely sour. I could not eat it. The chips were obviously factory made. I ordered the fish burrito. The fish was prepared extremely well, which raised my review from 2 stars to 3, but everything else on the plate was very bland. At $19, I could have eaten at Chipotle 3 times and had better food and larger burritos.
If this is truly authentic Mexican food, it might be worth a trip. However, the high prices, bland food, and poor service prevent me from recommending or returning to...
Read morePretty ok food - the best part was the slaw that came with the free chips and salsa, but among the seafood tacos, enchiladas, chimichanga, ceviche... it was all pretty average at best. Semi authentic but honestly pretty gringo, as the flavors and dishes were unimpressive for Mexican standards.
The part that really brought it down was service - the lady argued with me about my order and I insisted she got it wrong but then she made it sound like the menu item did not exist. While it was fine and I ate the food anyway, I later looked up the menu item and it was actually her who was wrong about my order. We also had to walk to the front to get to-go boxes and the check since we weren't being served at some point. I don't even know what we paid for and regret that our group tipped at all.
There were flies all around the restaurant that kept swarming our dishes - the restaurant overall just felt a little dirty so it really wasn't the most pleasant experience. Would not come back for food, service, or atmosphere. Do...
