This Preferred Home Care in Grand Junction used to provide excellent customer service when Thomas was there. Since he passed away and they have all new staff, it has gone downhill quickly. They do not help customers in any way.! They don't return phone calls, they don't fix the equipment they are supposed to fix, they don't give you any loaner equipment, they are just completely awful. People need their Machines working properly. This is a very serious health issue and people need their cpaps and bypap Machines working correctly. The location in Grand Junction does nothing to help its customers anymore. I do not recommend them at all and I wish I could give them zero Stars. The new respiratory therapist acts like you are a big inconvenience to him. He keeps referring you to call The Supply phone number for help instead of him helping. He doesn't even acknowledge you. Every time I go in there, customers seem very upset because they are not getting the service they need. This place needs to close down and a new place needs to come to this town that offers excellent service like they used to in the past, before this new staff came along....
Read moreUpdate** they did actually come and set up the day this was posted. The were thorough and left plenty of equipment. Staff is really nice. More considerations should be given to peoples schedules most people do not have an entire day to sit and wait on equipment.
My roommate has been waiting all day because we were told we have an appointment between 9:00 and 12:00 this morning. I called the office for them to tell me that that was their mistake they believed that I want an afternoon appointment. They could come anytime tomorrow even though I let them know I never asked for afternoon and we had already scheduled an appointment no one called to change it and we're still waiting it's 1:00 in the afternoon. I even let them know today was my roommates food bank appointment he really didn't need to miss. But he also needed oxygen today. And they had the nerve to say they can come but maybe not in time for him to go to the food bank, Or they can come tomorrow. What is the point of making an appointment if you're just going to come when you...
Read moreBeware! I spoke with Preferred Homecare multiple times to verify that they were providers for my insurance. I was assured that they would never set someone up with the equipment and supplies we needed if they were not providers. However 3 months after the set up I received a bill for the full amount saying that my insurance had denied it. I contacted my insurance to find out why and was told that they were not providers. So again I contacted Preferred Homecare and was again assured that they were providers. I went back and forth between my insurance and Preferred Homecare for over a month. The final determination was that Preferred Homecare was a provider for my insurance BUT only for the Medicaid portion. I am not on Medicaid so I am not covered. This lack of communication and knowledge cost me over $2,000.00 that would have otherwise been paid for by my insurance policy had I used an actual provider. Lesson learned, never accept that any business is a provider for your insurance, ALWAYS contact your...
