Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in Grand Junction

It took more than a half hour to get 3 small milkshakes, and they were all more like room tempature milk than milkshakes. If this was the first time we've had this experience I'd say it was because they were busy.. however the visit prior to this location (a week earlier), they had 4 cars in the parking lot, I ordered 1 milkshake and it took 20 minutes and that was in the drive through. The young lady working the drive thru window during the prior visit (short hair, and green eye shadow) gave us a really ugly look when I had my money ready upon arriving to the window, like the sign says as you order. - I wish I would have check her name tag because I wanted to call the manager and say something about the service that day. (8/9/24 @ 6p). Tonight I realized thats just the tone of the location. The service is less than poor, with little care for the length of time it took - either visit. I visit the Sonic in Rifle, CO just about once a week, it NEVER takes anywhere close to this amount of time, and I get a cold, delicious milkshake. So I don't know, maybe I just have high expectations based off of how great the Rifle location is managed. My husband and I both worked food service for several years and feel there is no excuse for the lack of care the staff at this location presents. Their lack of work ethic is disturbing.

I sincerely hope things get better. Unfortunately I'll never know because my husband has opted to not return to...

Typically the service goes alright here but this most recent time was an absolute nightmare. It was a long wait till our order was taken, we had to repeat everything on our order as we tried to place it, our order took an insanely long time for our order to come out and they forgot part of it and so we hit the call button to let them know, which was another long wait and even when the call was "answered" we just saw an order of a slushy we didn't order and no response. We pressed the button and the slushy we didn't order came out before we got any answer for or third call. We let the car hop know what we were missing and she promptly got it for us, but even after we finished the meal the button call was still pending, almost half an hour later. I love sonic and I love smoking pot. Having said that I think the kids that work at this sonic are way to stoned. They mess up simple orders. Putting ketchup on a burger that has no ketchup on it. Giving me a cup full of ice...literally. I got two drinks before it was gone.for the record I requested very little ice. Putting lemon my drink when I told them no. Why even ask if your gonna do it anyway. The phone number listed goes to voice mail. edit I paid for large fries on the same order and got a large container of fries half full( I'm being optimistic) I can't let this slide. When I went back the guy was super nice I was not rude. He gave me a new f.f., full this time, and a new drink. I threw the old drink in the trash on the way out, but I should kept it.
