Whoa, Alex. Our day started by discovering a remote concrete DIY fingerboard (mini skateboard) park in the forest while on a hike in Utah. We are professional fingerboarders, and we were taken back. It was immaculate. We had the best session on it and decided to move forward to Grand Junction.
We thought that our collective fulfillment had been maxed out for the day - but to our surprise, we stumbled onto SoCo Social House. Our bartender started out by perfectly straining balanced staples into our glasses, but this only fueled us to give her free rein on a whiskey and mezcal cocktailâŚ
Alex absolutely murdered the freestyle cocktail game with balanced, delicious, and aromatically elite elixirs that would destroy the dreams of big city âmixologists.â
Let her guide you to nirvana (her aunt was in the bar talking about loving Kurt Cobain) with a drink. Youâll come for one and stay until you need to go find food. Alex âbetter than a fingerboard park in the woodsâ whatever her last...

The drinks went down exceptionally smooth but when the food arrived we were disappointedly surprised. The chimichanga was crispy with a tasty vinaigrette vege toss. The chicken with waffles was a different story. Donât get me wrong, the chicken skewers are tasty but the waffles were desert dry. The âslawâ topping was a strange touch and was initially mistaken for crab dip. Lastly, what are French fried without ranch? Packets of ketchup are far inferior to hand crafted aiolis. Great time hanging with the staff and the...
