My sister recently held her wedding at the Glorious Fig. The GF is situated between the Hilton and a Realtor's office down a brick lined ally way. You enter into a large open shaded courtyard with seating and small tables and a bar set up outside. On the right side is a door which leads to a lovely area with a couch, table area and bathroom which is actually the back of the realtor's office! A lovely space for the bride tribe and bride to get ready for the wedding. On the left side of the courtyard is a door which leads to the main inside space of the GF. A bathroom is directly on the right followed by the open kitchen and several large tables for chef table seating. To the left is a second room with two entryways divided by a large brick wall. The second room holds two additional large tables, one of which has views of the main room and kitchen area, and a bar. The concept of a chef's table is lost on the other table in the second room which faces the brick wall. Guests at that table have no view of the kitchen and are also coincidentally served last. The owners may want to consider getting a structural engineer to see if they could open up that brick wall in some way so that all guests can experience the chef table concept.
All of the servers and staff were friendly and attentive during the event. The courtyard was a lovely setting for the wedding ceremony. Directly afterward drink orders were taken and several large charcuterie boards were placed on the bar area in the courtyard. The boards were a bit too busy for my taste with quite a variety of cheese, crackers, fruit, other assorted items and a lovely smoked salmon. After a bit the guests moved into the main and auxiliary room for a sit down meal. The first course was an onion soup, which I found too sweet. The second course was a citrus salad which was sweet and would have benefited greatly from a balsamic reduction. A basket of sourdough and salted butter were excellent, I had three slices! The third course was a pork tenderloin with a fig and Gorgonzola stuffing. The pork needed salt and pepper and the stuffing had too much thyme. Guests than moved to the courtyard for a break with dancing and additional drinks. Finally the bride and groom cakes were placed on the outside bar and served buffet style. The menu stated there was coffee with the cake but none was anywhere to be found outside, maybe it was inside someplaceā¦
Overall this is a good venue with great potential. The chef table concept where you see all of the chefs preparing the dishes is trendy but only works if everyone has a view of the kitchen and some clearly do not. I have read other reviews which rave about the food and I would say that they are exaggerating slightly. It is good but not...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe Glorious Fig was the venue my sister chose for her June wedding and it was truly the perfect spot for an intimate en plain air ceremony and cozy reception. The owners and staff were very accommodating (letting us decorate the ceremony space with an arch) and attentive (the servers learned my cocktail of choice for the evening and kept it coming š it was a blood orange cocktail and it was to die for!).
After the lovely ceremony and before we were asked to come inside to dine, we were served beautiful charcuterie boards for appetizers. These were loaded with every single tasty bite you could hope for on the lavish spreads.
Then dinner! From the first bite of truly delectable French onion soup, to the citrus salad simply bursting with flavor, and on to the savory main course of pork tenderloin with āgloriousā fig and Gorgonzola, the perfectly baked sourdough bread with butter filled my mouth with happiness in every bite!
We followed with dancing outside in the courtyard and to be honest I ate so much beforehand, that I only took a tiny taste of one of the cakes that had these amazingly creative flavor combinations. So I canāt really review the 3 cakes except to say they looked divine.

Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis is hands down one of the best venues in Grand Junction! I contacted The Glorious Fig in a panic a week before we had a bridal shower planned for the following week, after our original venue unexpectedly closed with no notification. We shouldāve booked with TGF originally, and I am so glad the original venue did not work out. Aly and her team were responsive, helpful, and detailed. The event spaces, indoors and the patio area is GORGEOUS and all the appetizers and specialty cocktails were incredible. Everything is so classy and upscale, it definitely added to the event. The gals that hosted our group were so sweet and worked so hard to make the day special. The bride even commented on how special they made her feel. Do not hesitate to host your next event at TGF or to attend one of their curated dinners. I will now be a faithful customer and will recommend their venue to anyone...
