If there were an option for no stars, I would use it.
Let me tell my experience here.... being felt discriminated against since the first time I walked into the door, until now, this last visit being told to leave and they no longer want me in their store.
It all started when I took a friend there to shop and had a few items to sell. That was all going well, they bought some items so we had some cash TO SPEND. However... we didnt get to buy anything becauae my friend who was going to buy a pair of jeans wanted to look around for a matching outfit. The worker there, wish I knew her name, she was a little shorter had dark hair... anyway she approaches my friend and says "ill take those jeans from you" after we explain what we were doing, she replies "you know what they look like, I'm sure you can find something." And literally, grabs them, almost forcefully out of our hands.
So there at that moment, we decided to not spend a dollar there and walked out. I have never seen such rude terrible customer service at any type of retail store in my life. I am not sure if its because this isnt a huge chain corporate store or what, I still find that unacceptable.
So now here I am, doing some moving and cleaning in the house. I have some items I know are worth money and since the only thing that went good was the sale, try to return here for just that reason. Well who would have guessed that she remembered us, so from there immediately rude (no surprise I suppose)... ends up just stepping away to make a phone call, comes back and says "you need to leave, we cannot buy any of your items." After I ask why, she replies "your friend tried to steal a pair of our jeans last time (pointed at some brand) and you need to leave the store." Also there was some sort of issue with an item looking "new" and claimed that they wouldn't buy that anway because of some issue they are having with new items. Me personally just being caught off guard by all of this now, start to show them the items and again "you need to leave or I will call the police on you."
So sorry whatever it is happened with your store that I or anyone I know had nothing to do with, you felt the need to refuse service. Also cost you a customer because I guess I am not even allowed back in there.
So from my experience, you can not browse around in hopes to try on an outfit. Or you can not sell anything there that even appears to be new. To top it off being told to leave before the cops are called. The worst part is I know for sure I do not appear to have a look of someone that has bad intentions. Maybe that was the problem...
Edit: Forgot to mention the part where she took my ID information before I was asked to leave. At first, I didnt have a problem with it. Considering the fact it was written on a page from a spiral notebook. No legit form or anything, the notebook was just tossed under the counter too, not filed or anything... I figured, ok so they need my info this time, no big deal. Then after all that was mentioned above happened, I kindly asked for that paper back. At this point there is no legit reason to have it, other than it ending up in the wrong persons hands now and my identity could be compromised. She said "no and you need to leave or I will call the police right now." Thinking back, I wish I would have had them call the police so I could get my personal information back. A lot of me just couldnt wait to get out of that store and never return.
Such a terrible...
Read moreYesterday was the second time I’ve been refused the ability to buy/sell/trade my clothes. I have gone to this “store” twice without bringing my children and each time I entered the store alone I was greeted nicely and able to trade clothing within this establishment. Now, the last two times I’ve tried to buy/sell/trade with this “business” I brought my two children along and was treated completely opposite of how I was treated before. The last time I was in the store I bought at least 10 maternity dresses and now that I’m not pregnant, I figured I would take them back for re-sell because they had sold the product once—so obviously the product was profitable to them. When I walked into the store neither myself or my children were welcomed/acknowledged. When it was our turn to be helped the owner of this place wouldn’t make eye contact with me and kept looking at my daughter with a disgusted look. Not to mention the last time I was in the store this lady said something to my daughter she had no business saying. The two women on shift were talking very loudly and disrespectfully while they were looking through my bag of clothes. After taking maybe 3 minutes to look at the clothes I had brought in, the owner approached me and told me “nothing I had was of value to them” which shocked me because I had gotten those clothes from their store, half of them were never worn, and NONE of the dresses had any stains—in fact they were still in pristine condition. I took a moment to collect myself and then I asked a question. I asked why were these clothes good enough to buy from the first seller and now they’re of no profit for you guys? With them being maternity dresses, I already knew that there is a shortage of maternity clothes access in this town which is why I went to this store in the first place was to buy maternity clothes because I couldn’t find any anywhere else. The ladies then came back with several excuses, being very snarky in between each sentence they would finish. Now with this being said, the only difference in the way I was treated pertained to my kids. My kids are bi-racial. Caucasian and African American. The last two times I’ve entered this place I was refused service and treated like complete trash as well as my children. I do believe this establishment racially profiled myself and my children and I believe the owner is 100% racist. If you are black or have colored children DO NOT BRING THEM INTO THIS ESTABLISHMENT. They will make their hate clear and their “supremacy” known. I also have the altercation on video and how we were treated, spoken to, and looked at by these workers. I also have pictures of the products I bought from them, and the same products I was trying to trade back to them which were again—in PERFECT condition and most were never worn. Maternity clothes are rare to come by in Grand Junction, so based on the treatment we’ve received and the refusal I have no other choice but to believe this establishment is racist. I will post this on any social media site connected to this store. These are the rudest people I’ve met in this...
Read moreI used to really like shopping here. I’ll give two stars for the organization and layout. However, there are 2 gripes I have: the buying process and the customer service. I understand that buying items is not an easy task, but they aren’t clear on their process. When I asked them how they price their items, they told me that they look for clothing that is “trendy”, which is a vague answer. If a customer asks that, they are trying to collect feedback based off of what you’re looking for and how much we’re getting for it so we can either decide to try and sell with you next time or figure out another alternative. I brought in a box of clothing in and they offered me a few bucks for a couple of shirts, but when I received my tote back all of the items were disorganized and thrown in with carelessness when I had them laid flat and shoes on top. The employees made the experience very unwelcoming and aren’t very friendly. And the responses that you have with customers who have left low review are snarky....
