Miyauchi's Snack Bar — Restaurant in Grand Lake

I am picky about ice cream. If I’m going to have a cheat day and eat a treat, it must be worth it. I don’t want to eat junk. This place is worth it. This place has the best ice cream on Grand Lake and probably in the Northwest Colorado area. It has a rich creamy consistency. We had a raspberry ice cream and a lemon ice cream they were both delicious. They provide ice cream to two other shops in the area because it’s so good and they do it so well. Their location usually has a line running down the street at lunchtime. If you walk by and there’s not a line might be a good time to get something. There are a few other ice cream shops in the area that I have not tried yet but this one seems to have the best local reputation. They have a couple options of cones and cups . I’m not sure that they make their waffle cones their. They look mass produced. But, I don’t eat the cones. I would definitely go back for the ice cream. After eating at a burger place down the street, I would rather eat a snack here that take my chances...

Absolutely the worst service with the but most immaturity. My wife and I ordered a large swirl and we were informed that the chocolate was not working. Not a problem they asked us if we would like a little bit of chocolate drizzled on it and some whipped cream and we said fine. We also have said throw on some peanuts. When we got our order it was a child size almost a half of hot fudge sundae. We told them this isn't what we ordered and a bunch of immature teenagers started laughing then their friends proceeded to get free ice cream in front of us. I wonder how the owner would feel about all of this? Poor customer service and didn't even offer to make it right even though we told them this was not what we ordered. On top of that giving away free ice cream for their friends??? Then proceeded to snicker about us while we stood there to their friends. This is very appalling in these trying times where businesses are trying to stay afloat. No Management in sight to make a complaint....

After suffering an altitude related nosebleed, I decided I needed some calories to help replenish my red blood cells

I can't remember exactly what I had. It was caramel turtle something or the other and it was recommended to me by the lady serving

I'd already decided on that one when I saw it guaranteed "cashew nut in every mouthful", but the lady's recommendation confirmed that I'm still good when it comes to making life choices

The ice cream was delicious. A good balance of flavours with a nice, creamy consistency, with no crunchy ice crystals

And, true to its boastful claims, every mouthful, bar the goop that had melted at the bottom of the cup did contain yummy cashews

The outdoor seating was free, but we took our ice creams and had them lakeside, just incase my nose decided to erupt again
