Updated Review 11/3/24: Over three years later I returned with my wife 😊 I was pleased to see they still have the raspberry lime cider! No lobster rolls this time, but the chicken pesto besto sandwich is good too 👍🏻 She really liked it which made me happy 😊 Stopped for lunch while in the area yesterday. Cool atmosphere and great selection of drinks. Very friendly and professional staff as well. The owner personally came out to ask how we were doing and how our meal was.
I got the raspberry lime hard cider, which was really good and refreshing! Good combination of flavors. They have weekly specials, and the special when I was here got my attention: A Lobster Roll! Those are hard to find in Michigan, and I've never seen one at a brewery, so I had to get it!
To my amazement, it was better than the one I had in New Jersey! Better flavor in the meat itself, and the bun was toasted which gave it a great toasty flavor! It was phenomenal, I made sure I took my time eating it. The bartender even said as I paid "Yeah, he really killed it with that lobster roll didn't he?" Truly a great experience here.
It's reasonably priced as well! We got an appetizer, and each of us got an entree and a drink...
Read moreWe stopped there to try what they had on the menu. They have their own beers on tap plus their own wines and ciders. I had two different beers and my wife had a wine. They were excellent. Their menu is anything but run of the mill pub food. We started with dill dip and got the chicken bree sandwich. Really great. They have so many unique dishes. Their chef did a great job of pairing. The staff was attentive without being obnoxious. They genuinely wanted to make sure we felt valued and we were happy. Really unique building. Old bank - church - city building. Interesting seeing the history preserved and made into a beautiful brewery restaurant. Acoustics were great. You could carry on a conversation without yelling over the sound from other people in the building. Everything was super clean which is a testament to their attention to details. It's an hour away from my home but worth going back again to try...
