The food here is amazing but the service is subpar at best. I visited the Grand Prairie location on 7/15 for my 9 year old son's birthday. They bought him out a giant ice cream sundae in an oversized martini style glass. As we were eating the ice cream, my 17 year old daughter yelled "OMG, there's glass in my mouth". She immediately began to spit out what was in her mouth and in the mix of the saliva and ice cream, sure enough there were shards of glass. We panicked and she immediately ran to the bathroom to wash her mouth out while I got the attention of the waitress. When the waitress approached, she apologized and pointed out a chipped section of the glass. She said the kitchen staff must have hit the glass on the counter when making the sundae and the chipped glass had to have fallen in the martini glass. What shocked me was the fact that she was calm and almost seemed to not care. It was as if this was a normal thing. I asked for a manager and after about 7 minutes, the manager never came. We ended up leaving because we had to drop someone with us off at 6:30 pm sharp and at this point, it was 6:10. Before leaving, she apologized and asked if we wanted a free side. A free side? Really? To compensate for the fact that my kid possibly swallowed some glass?? My daughter said she swallowed some of the ice cream out of reaction after chewing on the glass and before spitting it out. Because what she chewed and possibly swallowed would've been a small amount, we decided to monitor her bowel movements for the next 48 hours to ensure there was no blood present in hopes that it would simply pass with no issues. The pieces she actually spit out where a pretty decent size though and I'm sure had she swallowed one of the bigger pieces, this could've turned out really bad. Longhorn Steakhouse, do better and maybe put some quality control processes in place to ensure you're not serving food with pieces of glass in it. Maybe also train your servers on how to properly deal with situations as such and ensure managers are available to respond accordingly.

The filet mignon definitely had a strong peppery flavor. Certainly different than most other steaks I've had. Overall it was okay. The shrimp appetizer dish was excellent. Definitely worth getting again if I return. The chicken wings were decent, missing a little pizazz but overall not bad. The fried okra was good. Didn't realize it would be whole okra instead of chopped but good selection there. Where I totally missed on was the Mac n cheese. It's called a signature dish but it definitely does not taste signature to me. Not for $5.29. Not worth it to me. The surprise star of the show would have to go the complimentary bread and butter that is brought out before your appetizers. The butter goes so well with the fresh baked warm bread. Absolutely an unexpected delight. The lobster tail is good but definitely has to be drenched in garlic butter to get the best out of it. To me it's not on the same level as Texas Land & Cattle. I'll certainly have to try a different combination than what I tried this time before determining if this restaurant is a keeper. I will definitely say though the customer service was fantastic and the mobile app is a great compliment. Really love the join wait list feature. It was funny though I told me I was 13th in line. The next minute it said my table was ready. So that was funny, keeping you in your toes! Update on 2nd visit: 10.15.2021. The chicken tortilla soup was really delicious. The ribs had a nice flavor to them. The rice pilaf is seasoned well. The mashed potatoes are decent, definitely could use some a few extra ingredients. The longhorn old fashioned was strong, which I was very happy about. Eric has very good people and customer service skills and certainly made it a good dinning experience. In both trips the customer service has been outstanding. Even though the chicken fried chicken was salty and didn't taste good, management came by and did everything to remedy the situation. Keep up the excellent work Longhorn!

We visited LongHorn in Grand Prairie March 21st around 7:45. It was a Friday night so the place was on the more busier side. When we arrived the host let us know that it would currently be an hr wait to be seated for two and also that the bar area was open seating. We opted to sit at the bar. Our waitress was Jasmin, she greeted us and got us our drinks to start as we looked over the menu and decided what we wanted to eat. She asked if we were ready to order after taking our drinks. We said no, we needed a minute to decide. She interrupted before I could fully get the entire sentence out replying with "ok, I'll be right back" and walked away abruptly. She returned maybe 20mins later....I ordered the LongHorn steak cooked medium well, with a Texas Tea (long island) and my wife ordered the steak and lobster tail. While we waited on our food we finished our starter drinks and shortly after our food came out brought by a couple of gentlemen. The food was amazing as it usually is but it ended up being too much for us to eat. So we sat around waiting for refills on our drinks, to-go boxes and my Long Island iced tea that I ordered had still not been brought but by this point we were full and ready to go so I didn't even want it anymore. We sat for maybe another 20 minutes until what looked like a manager came over and asked if everything was OK. We let him know we wanted drinks to-go some boxes and the check. We saw Jasmin to take our orders and to bring us our check. Never anytime during our meal. Typically we wait for a booth to sit at to eat in the main dining area but with this being our 1st time sitting at the bar I'm not certain if the standards for service at the bar are different, none the less you could have at least brought me the alcoholic beverage I ordered. Service was the only thing I was dissatisfied with during this dining experience.

Came for a 10 year anniversary. We were told before sitting that the waitress was new and would have help. My first experience was the worst. I only came because everyone hyped it up on tik tok. First sodas and waters took well over 20 minutes as for our liquor almost 35 minutes. Remind you that we haven't gotten a menu or bread this whole time . Then, waited another 10min for straws she forgot to give us. So here we are waiting now here comes menus we began to glance over it . Ordered appetizers that took well over 30 minutes to bring only to have my mushrooms burned on top and tasted burnt i hard to even cut through the cheese, so I had to rip it apart using a knife to help . Cheese dip was great. I can't complain about that, just that it took forever to come to the point where we were asking the waitress different times for refills and where was our appetizers and drinks . The food just taking forever to come out to were some food was hot some was cold. Lamb chops pricey for them not to be clean and have such a nasty taste they were not cooked to perfection . As far as the Tenders no seasoning just taste like it was dipped in grease when u bite horrible. I asked could the side be a soup i was told yes . Later to be charged 2.99 for it . Chicken pamesaen I believe it was could have been cooked a little longer it was rubby when u cut into it. Also ordered a burger with no sauce it came with so much it was dripping off the burger just for them to take it back and bring another one that takes another 15 mintues we had alreadybbeen waiting on food for almost a hr. When they brought it back cheese was not melted just cold slice on the burger .One of the watiress said whats wrong with it i said maam the cheese is not melted snatched it from my hands with an awful face . Not my mistkae that yall messed up on the ticket. When brough back, i guess i made them mad because on my burger, now hand about a 2lbs of lettues all on my plate from it falling off my burger .The whole first time experience was not good. Everything had no flavor . I just won't spend that much money again on bad customer service and...

This location was the worst steakhouse I've ever been to. It's been a long time since I've been to a Longhorn Steakhouse bc Saltgrass and Texas Roadhouse are a lot closer to me.

We had a large party. The table they were sitting us at was ready and set up for 15 minutes before they sat us. It took a good 10 minutes to get our waiter over to us to get our drink order. He was very dry and had no personality. After we got our drinks we waited about another 10-15 minutes before my daughter finally stopped him and told him we were ready to order.

He took our order and it took a normal amount of time for the food to come out. I asked for my chicken fried steak to be extra tenderized but it definitely was not. It also wasn't seasoned. I was very disappointed in it. My nephew ordered a sirloin steak, and he had to send it back. He said it tasted watered down, and as if it wasn't seasoned as well. The only time our drinks got refilled was when they brought our food out. Our waiter never came back to check on us.

The corn on the cobb and fried okra came whole. They do not cut it up. I can understand the corn on the cobb, but the okra? The ends weren't even cut off. I feel like you really have to be an okra person to enjoy it. The corn was seasoned, but over roasted. I'm thinking they had it over a partial flame or something bc the top half of mine and my husband's were both burnt. That is just an assumption.

It took forever to get his replacement food, and a manager to come talk to us. The manager was very kind, and replaced my chicken fried steak with a bowl of soup bc at that point I was exhausted and ready to go. We had already been there for almost 2 hours.

The restaurant was clean, but you almost need a flash light in there bc they keep it so dark. Over all, I would not recommend this location, and the manager who was on duty should take his skills to a different establishment that takes pride in everything about their restaurant.

Their prices are way too high for food that's not seasoned well, can't hardly see bc it's so dark, or dry and unfriendly service.

Just go...
