This Korean restaurant was open only three weeks ago. But the five-star reviews dominated the reviews graph. There aren’t many Korean restaurants in the area. Also, there aren’t that many restaurants of any type with 4.7 stars. So, I just had to try it. It was my birthday, so why not? My birthday was on Tuesday, but they were closed that day. We went the day after. The restaurant is small with maybe six tables. We had just missed the lunch crowd, so we had no problems finding a table. We both ordered a combo, which consisted of a bowl of tofu soup with a plate of bulgogi and rice. For those unfamiliar with Korean dishes, bulgogi is a dish of thinly sliced, marinated beef —typically sirloin or ribeye —that is grilled or pan-fried until caramelized. My wife ordered a tofu soup with beef, and I ordered a tofu soup with seafood. For the bulgogi, my wife ordered pork, while I ordered beef. We choose a “mild” spice level. Our order came with a variety of kimchi pickles. The vegetables tasted fresh. The tofu soup also came with a raw egg that we had to crack open and add to the soup. The tofu soup was served in a hot stone bowl. The bulgogi was delicious. The meat was tender and flavorful. Combined with the rice and kimchi, it was heavenly. I had never had Korean tofu soup before, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. It didn’t resemble any other Asian tofu soup I was familiar with. Once I tasted it, I fell in love with it! I preferred my seafood version to my wife’s beef version. We ended up finishing everything. Our hunger was satisfied without any issues. The spice didn’t burn our tongues. Next time, we’ll try it a little spicier. The staff were very personable and informative. He told us that the owner is from Busan, a port city in South Korea, known for its seafood. To be sure, this is not a cheap place to eat, but the quality of the food is well worth it. You’d better try some delicious Korean food but avoid the lunch crowds. Remember its closed...

Mama Korean Kitchen Tofu House is a newly opened Korean restaurant in the neighborhood, and it’s definitely worth checking out. It’s located in a shopping area with plenty of parking, though be cautious since the lot is shared with Little Caesars and some of the drivers can be a bit hectic.

This is a counter-service spot with two self-order kiosks, but you also have the option to order directly at the counter. The staff were friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better.

The food was excellent. The tofu bowls are the star of the menu — silky soft tofu with distinct flavors depending on which bowl you order. The combo meals are a great deal, coming with a tofu bowl, rice, and your choice of meat. Portions are plentiful for the price you pay, so you leave feeling satisfied. Their banchan (side dishes) were tasty and refillable, and they also offer self-serve cold water.

Overall, it’s a wonderful place for comforting, homemade-style Korean food. Delicious flavors, good service, and a relaxed atmosphere. I really hope this restaurant does well — it’s a great addition to the...

Ok I thought I’d try this new place and see what tofu was like. Mistake!! Although I’m glad to see the 5 star reviews. It’s just not for me or my tastebuds.

-Service was awesome! -Packaging was neat and well thought out to prevent spilling. -Menu only had a couple items with tofu. Interesting considering it’s a Tofu place. -I ended ordering a tofu seafood soup. I thought tuna was fishy but it has nothing on the over the top fishy taste and smell of the dish. -I felt something hard as I stirred my soup. It was 1 shrimp with head and shell on it. I don’t wanna eat a shrimp with head. It would hv been nice to hv an option -$$ the place was costly to me. Combo meals were $30. My soup was $16.18. I would hv been happier with wings and bread from little Caesar’s next door for 9.99

I’ll by saying it’s not for me and I won’t be going back despite the superior service and not so cheap menu. I hope for the owner’s sake that the business does well but I can’t say with 100% certainty that it will....
