I’ve been waiting for a Puerto Rican–Chinese–style restaurant in DFW for years, and Michi’s did not disappoint! I was so excited when I heard they were opening here. I’m not the kind of person who waits in long lines for food, but I made an exception for this one—and it was worth it.

I tried the mofongo, arroz chino (pork fried rice) with pepper steak, and tostones. Everything was absolutely delicious! They also have Puerto Rican–style sushi, which is usually amazing and super creative (think sweet plantains, churrasco, and other fun twists), but it sold out on opening day due to high demand. No worries—I’ll definitely be back next week to try it.

If you’ve never had Puerto Rican Chinese food (“chino boricua”), you have to try the mofongo relleno de churrasco and their ribs rice combo—and whatever you do, don’t skip the tostones with mayoketchup (chef’s kiss!).

I’ve visited their Houston location before and loved it, but I’m thrilled they opened one closer to home. Their menu has so many interesting options like sorullitos, empanadillas de pizza, and empanadillas de guayaba. The staff is super friendly, and if you get a chance to meet Michi herself, say hi—she’s...

Michy’s Chino Boricua in Grand Prairie is absolutely amazing! They were running the restaurant so it can be ready for the grand opening tomorrow! From the moment we walked in, my kids were super excited — and honestly, so was I. The food did not disappoint at all. The rice was incredible, perfectly cooked and flavorful. The egg roll was on another level: crispy, fresh, and just delicious.

We tried a variety of dishes: the orange chicken (tender, saucy, and full of flavor), boneless ribs, fried chicken, sushi, and mofongo with churrasco. Every single bite was spot on. Everything was tasty, juicy, and seasoned perfectly; the kind of comfort food that makes you smile with every bite.

I also loved the little detail that they put the French fries in a separate bag, that way, you get more room in the plate for even more food. Small touch, but it makes a big difference!

If you’re craving Chinese food with that Boricua twist, this is the spot. Big portions, bold flavors, and a family-friendly vibe that makes the whole experience even better. Can’t wait...

I was hoping this place was delicious and man did it exceed expectations! They've only been open for a week so I'll allow grace for the slow service and them running out of food options. Got in line at 7pm which went out the door towards the corner and didn't get my food until 8:10pm. Was disappointed that after waiting so long one of my meal options was no longer available but oh well I picked something else. I got fried rice, carne frita, mofongo, garlic shrimp and tostones. Everything was amazing but the star was the tostones! If ur a fan of garlic then THIS is the meal for you lol. I can't wait to go back but I'll try again in about 2months when the hype dies down a bit and the wait time is normal. They also don't have the drive thru or online orders available yet due to the crazy in person deman.

Bottom line, the wait is MORE...

Finally! Was super excited and came in before the grand opening so lines were a lot smaller . The cashier who helped us was not as friendly as she should’ve been, not only to us but to people who came and ordered after us. The rice was amazing, the mofongo (not pictured because I finished it super fast) was AMAZING, the orange chicken and peppered steak were a bit off on the flavor but we’ve chalked it to it being before the grand opening. I will retry once the hype has gone down and lines are a bit more accessible

Grand opening day, waited 4 hours in the hot sun , i really really wanted the sushi unfortunately they weren’t serving it. It was over capacity. Overall my food rating was an 8. The experience with the amazing people i met while waiting was definitely memorable and unforgettable ! I’ll definitely be coming back for the sushi when the hype dies down. Definitely recommend!
