Really ???? Got a number for 1, that’s right, one small dipped ice cream cone. There were 2 cars in the drive and 1 person waiting inside plus myself
Clearly the team leader was not leading at all. The vibe was awkward and everybody was as clearly miserable.
Ordered 1 small dipped cone. Paid extra for an extra dip, I love the double dip, you should try it. I knew something was wrong when the team Leader asked if I wanted the cone “for here or to go?” Are you legit gonna out my cone in a bag or on a tray depending on my answer? It’s a cone genius!
Got the cone and the shell was in bits with a very light layer of chocolate over it. I asked the gal if she could please double dip it. She said it was already double dipped. I could clearly see the ice cream trough the micro layer of chocolate. I let her know and she proceeded to give me some explanation on how “When you dip……”.
Here’s the deal, do you actually think this is the first time I have ever purchased a double dip?? No, not at all. At this point my intelligence was insulted and I throw the cone away and told them to keep my money. I have better things to do besides demanding a different Ice cream cone, yadda yadda.
Just stupid. Just dip it again and move on for goodness sakes.
So, you may be thinking, you don’t have time to argue over a cone but you took time to write this review, Keith or Kevin.
We’ll yes. Arguing with an employee who’d rather try to educate me on the science of dipping is something I have no time for. Making other potential customers aware of the absolute ridiculously, annoyance of this experience is worth my time as it is a...
Read moreThis is a review for a single time, not every time I've been here. Yesterday I had gone through the drive through and ordered 2 chicken strip baskets, both with fries. When I got up to the window and got my bag of food, there was an extra container that I knew shouldn't have been in the bag. After pulling into the parking lot and double checking the bag, which was 2 chicken strip baskets with the wrong dipping sauce and the wrong side, plus the extra container of a food item. So, not only did I have to go into the store, which is the reason for going through the drive through but I also had to wait, albeit not as long, for them to correct my order. I went in and told them they gave me the wrong order. Now, if I remember correctly, if a customer had gotten the wrong food items, the workers were not allowed to take it back once the food crosses the counter/window. Well, that's not the case anymore, not only did the worker take the bag of food back, but they took it back into the kitchen part and, from what I could see only swapped out the sides and sauces. Once they got it corrected, they gave it back to me, without so much as a "Sorry for the inconvenience", "Let us make this up to you" or any other apology. Would I still recommend this place, yes. Would I tell people to make sure to double check their food, yes. Though, unfortunately customer service has gone down hill for many places, it's hard to remember to be a decent person sometimes. Their Ice cream though is...
Read moreI recently ordered a custom cake from the Dairy Queen in Grand Rapids for a special occasion, and the experience was incredibly disappointing. I provided clear instructions 5 days ahead of time for the design and personalization, but when I picked it up, the cake was completely messed up— the colors didn't match what I requested, and the overall assembly looked rushed and sloppy.
To make matters worse, the writing on the cake (which was supposed to be a simple message) was sub-par at best: uneven lettering, smudged icing, that made it look unprofessional and embarrassing to serve.
I immediately called the store with all the details of their mistakes and got told theee is nothing they could do because there was no manager or decorator available. I also sent an email including photos and my original order confirmation, hoping for a resolution like a refund or remake. It's now been three days with absolutely no reply—not even an acknowledgment. This lack of customer service is unacceptable, especially for a chain like DQ that should have better standards.
I won't be ordering from here again and suggest others double-check everything or go elsewhere for custom cakes. 1 star. Supposed to be blue borders top and bottom.
Edit: It has been 3 weeks with no acknowledgement. After many attempts to email, call, and try to contact a manager nothing...
