Excellent fresh made pizza to take out or purchase by slice and eat at the one of 4 patio tables with umbrellas around the corner along the Lyon street. We had veggie pizza, spicy habaneros, olives & peppers with feta cheese as well as cheese & pepperoni pizza for kids. We all enjoyed every slices and all fresh ingredient toppings & a various different cheese melted on. Initially we walked from Grand Rapids Art Museum to check out Nantucket baking company then a passerby local suggested to try a slice or two pizza here. I think it was $1.50 for a small slice of pizza which were already baked and waiting to be served under the heat lamp at the display counter. Due to constant stream of people coming here to get a couple of slices, the baked pies were constantly changing and option of 6 different pies are always available. If you’re near downtown and wanted to try some artisan pizza fast & cheap, this would the place to stop by. A plenty of parking behind the building and lots of street parking right in front as well. Martha’s pizza offers vegan cheese also as well as gluten-free crust for $2-3 extra. Just need to order your own pie with special non-dairy cheese which takes about 4-5 min. Walking from downtown took about 25-min and a bit of uphill from Winchester PL on Lyon Street going East. Lyon Street is one way road going West.

Excellently crafted local pizza. They do small pies (12in I think?) and they might be a bit pricey, but what you're paying for is locally made pizza dough, I believe Nantucket's but not sure since they moved out of Martha's and it was remodeled into Martha's Pizza, and you also pay for premium ingredients. The menu pizzas are excellent, but I'd recommend just stopping in to buy a slice or two from the few they make to sell as slices throughout the day. I recently ordered my first take home pizza and was very happy to also get cheese sticks. The sticks were flat and crispy, and went perfectly with the cold, garlicy, tasty marinara on the side. We ordered the Extra Special (pepperoni, sausage, mushroom, kalamata olive, green pepper, onion), which I've never had before, but was incredibly happy with. My only complaint was the dough could have risen a tiny bit more, thus a couple slices felt a little floppy in the middle, but it was delicious nonetheless and I know their pizza isn't normally like that since I go for slices pretty frequently. Overall, 10/10 would order again when I want a well crafted thin crust with premium toppings.

4.4/5 Stars (Takeout) I did one of the original and one of the full meat pizzas. The original pizza was alright. I felt like it lacked sauce a little bit... the all meat pizza was actually pretty amazing. I really did enjoy alot. I unfortunately didn't get a picture of that pizza. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a good pizza!

I have been coming to Martha's for years and they are always great in regards to their service and products. Their staff is always inviting and friendly. Writing and leaving a review today as I saw an older couple in there today complaining to the employee and felt that it was just wrong the way these two were acting. They were asking why it was taking longer than 15 minutes to get their pizzas that they ordered, saying that they had placed the order 20 minutes ago and now that it is past the 15 minutes they were told, they were complaining that they were going to be late to an appointment and needed their pizzas now. As well as framing the whole thing as if it were the poor employee's fault that they were now without their pizzas and late to their function. I have to say, the employee did a great job of attempting to defuse the RIDICULOUS situation and try to appease the couple. However, none of their problems have anything to do with Martha's Pizza! Just two people who are clearly terrible with planning and time management, taking it out on a poor Martha's Pizza worker. Thanks Martha's! Hopefully those two...
