BEWARE ! I would give a zero but fear my review would not get saved. After careful review from Scott(rep.) this credit union feels itâs ok to ruin a co-signers credit rating for 7 years.
Try to keep it short, wife was co-signer for sisters loan, they notified my wife for the first 2 months of the loan having issues caused by sister in law. Wife contacted sister and said sheâd take care of it.
At least 4-5 months went by, wife and I were taking out a personal loan thru a different credit union and seen wifeâs credit rating was shot and found out it was because the co-signed loan still was bad. Contacted LMCU and scrambled and had loan paid off in less than a week.
Reps were nasty ! But we got it done. Had we not gone to get a personal loan out we never would have known. Everyone on that loan whoâs credit was in jeopardy, should have been notified every single month, not just the first 2 months then skip us for the last 4-5.
Donât know about you, but corrupt government US laws do not protect consumers and allow a business like this...
Read moreRegrettably used LMCU for our mortgage due to great rates, which was amazing but their customer service and delivery are subpar (probably why they can afford low rates). Dealing with our mortgage officer was painful, he was quick to respond but couldnât answer our important questions. The branch itself made us wait more than two weeks to get access to a check that we deposited (even though it cleared in 5 business days) and when we wanted to withdrawal cash they told us they didnât have it on hand and could give us a cashiers check. When I ordered checks for our joint account, they sent checks with just my name on them and they sent us our first mortgage statement two days before the due date (thankfully we are set for autopay so we arenât getting a late fee). If you can find a bank with similar mortgage rates or even marginally higher I would recommend going that direction and...
Read moreDo not do business with these pagan's. They do not care about you as a person, only your finance. I hope you don't get into any trouble because the people who work here are just as heartless as anyone who works for Chase, Bank Of America or any other national bank. The only difference is when these guys fail they won't be bailed out by the government and any money you keep with them will be gone forever.
The Manager of this branch is a nasty piece of work. Repeatedly lied to me about what they had on file when I tried to close my account as a way to try to stop me from doing so. The worst customer service I've had from any business in Grand Rapids.
DO NOT GIVE THESE SNAKES YOUR MONEY I AM...
