Huge disclaimer, this complaint is from my last visit there back in February 2020 for my birthday before all of the Covid shut downs.

I had been here to eat a couple times before my February trip and I understand the process; longer wait time and pricier food but well worth it. My parents live 2 hours away from me but every year for my birthday they always let me choose where to eat no matter how far or what the price is. I thought they would like the uniqueness to the restaurant also.

I warned my family that it takes a little longer and usually is a 2 hour experience. I felt terrible when we hadn’t even received our salads after 2 hours of waiting. We were there very close to 4 hours and the restaurant didn’t seem that full since we went on a Sunday night. The waitress finally gave us our salads but then warned one of my siblings that her salad was dropped and that it will be right out. 20 minutes later the last salad came out but it was incorrect so my sister just said to forget about it since our entire were on their way out.

Another random complaint was that the waitress over poured our waters at the table and then just dump the water on the ground next to our table.

I felt really bad for asking my family to come here because the visit took extra long and the service wasn’t the best. Also, not to be this person, but it was my birthday. I asked for the manager and told her about the couple hiccups and asked if there could be any accommodations. She made me feel really silly for asking and only offered to free off our pops with attitude. I tried to say something to the manager first because my dad is known to be a “Karen” and wanted to say something nicely but after the manager gave me attitude, all of that went down hill. My dad made a rude comment how we’re never coming back here. What frustrated me the most were the manager’s come backs which were just reminding us the price of everything and that there is a wait period. It made me feel really bad because it seemed that the manager just took it as we didn’t want to spend that much money and that we were just impatient.

The last thing that happened was the manager made the waitress come back up to us and ask us how she could have done better and what did she do wrong. Just was an odd thing to be asked on the spot for and that’s why we tried talking to the manager.

I love this place a lot and I want to go back when this current shut down is over but my experience is just a little...

We were very excited to take my sister from dubai to the melting pot.we just moved to knapps corner and decided to go try this out.Unfortunately it was a sad experience. We had made a reservation for 2 pm.we had 2 kids with us ,my sister ,me and my husband. We were seated at 2 pm and waited for close to half an hour before someone came and gave us water to drink. We quickly ordered an appetizer and our main meal before she dissapeared again. Then we were served our appetizer which was just cheese that was put in the pot in front of us and melted served with some tiny pieces of dry bread and even tinier pieces of broccoli and carrots. Then we started waiting for our main course which never came. After that we waited for an entire hour with 2 kids but there was no chance .Mind you, first the food has to come then it has to be boiled in water on the hot stove to eat it. We found it strange that we made our entire dinner before coming to eat out for lunch here in an hour and then we were made to wait just to eat a few boiled pieces of meat. We still were patient and waited and waited. They were not short staffed we saw lots of staff walking around. Finally after 1.5 hours of waiting another waitress shows up asking if everything is going well for us.We responded that everything is perfect since we havenot had anything to eat till now and its been 2 full hours. Then the other waitress shows up and says our food is still been prepared and will be here shortly. We told them "we are sorry but at this point we would like to pay our bill and get out". Maybe others have the time to spend 4 hours at a restaurant but i m sorry if you are the usual american with kids you are better off in a different restaurant. We had a bad experience here.we were also humilated in front of our sister from Dubai who after experiencing the great eateries in dubai came to this place which ultimately only served us cheese and dry bread and took forever to give us some boiled meat. Never again and would never recommend...

My second (reluctant) visit here. This is the SLOWEST dining experience ever. 2 hours and 15 minutes total...and second time I was late for plans afterward. Visited at 4:30 with a reservation, before peak dining hours. After being seated, half an hour later, did not even have a glass of water. Had to ask for a straw which took another 10 minutes. The dining area was frigid which made for an uncomfortable dining experience. My friend and I chose the 4 course "big night" dinner which is over $100, so be prepared to lay down some cash for so-so food. Food-wise, the cheese fondue was great but the bread and vegies served with it left something to be desired, carrots had a chemical taste and bread could have came from the day-old rack. The house dressing on my salad was fantastic, having a nice dijon-mustard tang. The serving sizes of the protein choice are on the anemic side; about 6 total small pieces (3 for each person). We were allowed to substitute the salmon (not a fan) for extra filet mignon; this was a plus. If you have never been here, be forewarned you cook your own entree. The vegetables served with our entree were sub-par, the potatoes were basically mush and the zucchini had brown spots in the middle. We paid an extra $10 for dessert add-ons which had cream puffs, macaroons and cheesecake. The cream puffs, which appeared to be mainstay frozen fare, were so frozen, they could not even be chewed. When brought to the waitresses attention, received a "I'll see what I can do" and resulted in NO action what so ever. I asked for a toothpick; response "I'll see if we have them". Again, no follow through. While using the restroom, both rolls of toilet paper were empty. Some of this may be minor but added together, made for fairly annoying dining. As I said earlier, this was my second and I now say, my last time...
