I've been wanting to post one of these for a while. I have been bartending here for three years. No, nobody coarsed me to write this. I'm just simply sick of people playing the blame game and over telling people the same things. I know it's all part of the gig, but if this reaches patrons before coming in, that'd be cool. 😊 Please read! Reasons why we refuse entry: -We are at capacity -No ID (no, you can't use your friend's and a picture on your phone isn't acceptable (freshly 21s need their paper AND drivers' license.)) -Fake ID (that's ours now!) -Expired ID -You're already inebriated and could cause issues or accidents -You were disrespectful to our staff before trying to get in -You're under 21 -You're trying to bring outside beverages inside -No, it's not because we are racist (look at our staff, we ain't all the same ethnicity) Remember, we can refuse entry to anybody! šŸ˜‡ Reasons why you get kicked out: -You were disrespectful to staff/piano players -You puked (no, you can't clear your stomach and drink more. That's a beautiful lead to alcohol poisoning). -You were standing or dancing on tables/chairs -You were getting in the windows upstairs (we don't want you hurting yourself or others). -You tried coming behind the bar -You took your shoes off (there is glass/puke/whatever on the ground). Be smart. -You started/encouraged an altercation -You made creepy sexual comments about staff/patrons. We aren't paid to go home with you. We are all just trying to make rent and have a good time. -You assaulted staff. Don't put your hands on or throw shit at us. -You were destructive to our property Things to consider: -WE JUST WORK HERE! Staff can't change menu items/prices or regulations. That's the owner. -You know the owner or his daughter? Sick! So do we. -Our restaurant has been closed since I started. Outside food is acceptable. -We don't have draft/tap beer, but we do have bottles/aluminum cans. -Our TVs have very few channels. Most of the time, we don't have the game on. We are not Big E's or any other sports bar. We are a piano bar with a DJ. Come make memories with humans instead of technology! -There are song request slips with pencils in wooden black caddies on every table and dispersed on our L rails. The players also take Venmo. Bar staff does not. -We have a QR code for cocktails on our straw caddies facing you. You can also go to our website from here to see what we have. -There is a quarter machine by the pool table upstairs. Check to see if it's in order before asking the bar for quarters pLeAsE. -We do not currently have N/A beers. I apologize. 🄺 -We don't give out free drinks because of a birthday/engagement/wedding/retirement (whatever occasion). If we decide to buy one for you, we are required to pay for it out of our own pockets without discount. Feel special if/ when we do this. -Please know what you/your friends/family are ordering before we get to you. *ESPECIALLY WHEN WE ARE BUSY* If it's taking a while for y'all to decide, most of us are going to go down the line and skip you. We are here to make money and memories! -We shut the bathrooms down after the music has stopped and the lights have come up. This is around 1:30AM. We need everybody out of the building before 2AM. Once one person uses the bathroom, so does the whole table. We don't need people unknowingly passed out in the toilet, and we check/clear them to make sure nobody is straggling behind. -We do not have a liquor license for y'all to be leaving with your drinks. We are not part of the "social district." No acceptions. -We want to keep y'all safe. -Attitude/respect/consideration is everything. We try to come in with sparks in our eyes. If you're giving a bartender/patron a hard time, that energy disperses throughout the bar. Please be kind. Everybody deals with something others have no clue about. I hope that all of this makes sense and answers questions. Our bar staff are ready to make your drinks and hope that you have a good visit! šŸ˜‡ Come into Mojo's tonight! We are open from 6PM-1:30AM. Cheers!

Easy enough to reserve a table. When we arrived, we were carded (as expected, I'm 21 but look 19) and the host at the front took my ID and started at me for a good minute, looking at me like I was trying to get in with a fake ID or something. It may have had to do with my recent weight loss and hair color change, but I doubt it. Male staff and bouncers were incredibly rude and standoffish, refused to talk to us when we had questions, we had to look for one of the female wait staff in order to figure out what was going on. It was our first night club scene and we were confused as to how things worked. Waitress was very helpful and polite, food was fantastic and relatively inexpensive, around the tune of $10 for an entree. I highly recommend their Margherita flat bread pizza. Mozzarella sticks left more to be desired but I've definitely had a lot worse. Live music was fantastic, they played a lot of '60-'70's classic rock but they did play some Fall Out Boy and they do take requests. Mixed drinks/cocktails tasted cheap and watered down, but the shots were pretty good. Bartenders were nice but a little unprofessional, talking about/making fun of what I assume to be other employees. My friends and I went to go dancing and the upstairs didn't open until 9pm. We went upstairs and there is a small dance floor and a DJ whose music was so overpowered by techno-beats that you could scarcely make out what song was being played. We were honestly a little disappointed with the dance floor but all in all we had a good time. Ended up leaving at 10pm to walk around GR in the rain because it got boring. Probably won't be going back, except for maybe the pizza and the pianos. Definitely won't buy any mix drinks/cocktails again.

We love coming here. They have really good food and drinks, and the prices are fairly reasonable. They also have a really good happy hour with half off draft beer, wine, and martinis. The downside to happy hour is that it ends at 7, but they don't start playing until 8, so we usually get there just before happy hour ends and order about 5 rounds of drinks. There is also no cover when you get there early, and you can get good seats. The show itself is highly entertaining with good music and a lot of humor, but you have to be prepared for some language and crude jokes. It is definitely an adult show. Upstairs is another bar with a dance floor and dj.

If I could leave zero stars I would.

A wonderful night to celebrate turned into a terrible experience because of one manager. She definitely put her staff in a terrible position.

A group of family and friends are getting together for my nieces 21st birthday. We made a reservation for 15 to enjoy dinner, drinks and dueling pianos. Being a birthday I arrived with a gift for my niece. I was stopped at the door and told I could not bring the gift in; I explained it was for a birthday and asked to speak with the manager. The door guys were very polite and apologized and I was told to wait for the manager. She never took the time to speak to me face-to-face and just shook her head no through the window. I offered to take the gift back to the parking garage but the doorman said I could leave it in the entranceway and they would keep an eye on it. A short time later a couple of my nieces friends brought the exact same gift and were allowed to bring it to her at the table. Now I was upset but there were two new guys at the door and I thought it may have been an oversight. The entertainment and our waitress were absolutely amazing so I let the gift situation go. Towards the end of the night my niece felt like she was going to get sick and headed for the bathroom. Before even getting sick, my sister (her mother) met her in the bathroom to take her home. The manager confronted them in the bathroom and explained that they would need to leave immediately and escorted out the back door. This seems excessive and the manager was very rude about the way she handled this. Her mother requested to go back to the table and grab coats, purses and belongings and the manager denied them their request. One of the girls had an open tab and the manager allowed her boyfriend to sign and claim her credit card. She was very alert and coherent so upset about this. As I was leaving the bar I asked for my gift, that again was being watched by the doorman. The gift was gone and I was told a man had taken it. I asked to speak with the manager and again she refused to come speak to me face-to-face. It was only after having to call the police and file a report that she finally came out for my name and number. She apologized halfheartedly but it was too little too late. She has no business being a manager and obviously couldn't handle an establishment like this especially on a very busy night. All in all our night was ruined by one unexperienced unprofessional manager who was way over her head.

As an update, my sister wrote a very well worded letter to this establishment the following Monday with concern about the manager. The response that was made was absolutely appalling and they should be embarrassed. The scathing letter told us we were not invited back and was...

Very cool and hip place but severely mismanaged , lots of concerns and red flags ( I just tried searching online to see how I could contact the owners but without luck so here I go). Staff wasn’t trained promperly : First table In the building on a Saturday and the server approached and asked what we wanted after sitting awhile . She never gave any type of drink menu fir us to review , after we asked for drink menus for a party of 8 she brought back three for us to share . ALL taps were down along with four additional drink items on the menu ( completely out of). Staff knowledge of drinks id rate at a 0. The waitress actually today someone at our table that a Reds Apple Ale ( they didn’t have bit was on the menu ) was comparable in flavor to a Killians. Another guest ordered a drink on the menu under the red bull section which also states Red Bull’s in this and the waitress came back with a half full glass with everything in it BUT the red bull. When we asked her about it she first said it wasn’t included , then when we showed her the menu she said she can’t help how the bartenders make the drinks . Rude , short, unprofessional. Wanted to order food ( again first table in and only people inside )!gave three menus for 8p to share and order . Orders messed up and the comment made that the kitchen was at fault and that we could just remove the toppings ourselves ( let’s use common sense that food allergies are severe and not a simple dislike in this case). When drinks got delivered without limes the waitress brought them back in the palm of her hands and set them In out drinks . Watched guests entering the bar and noticed five different cover charges in the screen ( It didn’t bug me as some vats waive fees for special groups like bridal parties but a white male was charged 3.00’s and a few people back a black male was charged double ($6.00). I’m a white remake abs was very taken back my this . Horrible service and horrible drinks continued all night . We stayed because the piano players rocked and engaged the crowd!! Thought it would be a cleaner , classier place . Very concerned giving my credit card to the waitress for a tab ( this is a huge liability and horrible practice ). Anyone could see by card sitting out and my account could be compromised . Them holding my ID should have been enough to run a tab . When we received the bill we NEVER received an itemized receipt !!! Just a receipt that said we owed $120.00 for two people ( way overcharged confiding we came fir happy hour and the waitress told us all the drinks would be half off. These are the kindest comments I can leave but lots of major violation concerns that could shut...
