Every time I visit GR, which is often, I seek out a Mediterranean restaurant, of which, these days, there are many. The other night I tried a new restaurant. I decided to try The Pita Way as it was most convenient. The staff was wonderful! Very good customer service. The person at the counter told me that this was the best humus they had ever had anywhere, This person said they werent fond of humus at other restaurants, but the humus here was above and beyond. I paid, got my order and was on my way. The first thing I noticed was that everything was cold, like it had just come out of the fridge. I have never been served cold pita bread or humus before, much less an entree. Then, I tried the humus, and yes, there was a different flavor to it. It took me a second to figure out what I was tasting. It was salt. It was not unpleasant or overwhelming at all, but it was certainly obvious. Now, I’ve got to say… I was mostly disappointed. In addition, I found their prices to be quite competitive, especially considering the location.
However, despite these positive aspects, I was disappointed with the food. It simply did not meet my expectations. While the presentation was appealing, the flavors and textures fell short of what I had hoped for. It was a letdown, especially after being impressed by the service.
In summary, while Pita Way excels in customer service, there's room for improvement in their culinary offerings. I hope they can match the quality of their dishes with the high standards of their service...
Read moreI actually like their food but every time I go in it feels like it's every team members first day. It's chaotic. Last night I ordered on line and despite showing up 20 minutes later and then another 20+ minutes trying to talk to them I left without food. I think the concept is to be like qdoba or similar but the intensity of food prep does not appear to match the concept. Other places like this tend to have one person doing the same part of the process over and over. At this location it seems like everyone is trying to do everything and it is not efficient. The workers are all very nice and work hard so wondering if it's a process problem. I also wonder if the menu is too big for this...
