We love speciation!! So much so, that my now husband and I went on our first date there. So when it was time to find a wedding venue, we reached out to see if it was possible to host it at Speciation. Thankfully Mitch and the crew said yes, and we had literally the best party ever. When I say working with the specation team for our wedding was a breeze, I mean it. Any questions I had was answered quickly and with detail. The day of the wedding Jane and Carly took such good care of us and all of our guests. They handled our crew with grace and everyone had a great time. We were able to get into the venue early to do all the set up so that we could have a few hours of peace before the big day started. It was a beautiful space to have our wedding and we are so thankful we did. We also choose to have the team make us a wedding beer. We got to chat with Mitch for the ideas we had and he brought them to life. We went with a hot toddy inspired beer. They even let us submit our own label for the beer. It was a great gift for our guests, to have on tap during the wedding, and have some extras to drink in our first year married. If you're looking for an awesome place to host an event, I highly suggest reaching out and working with the speciation crew!

Speciation is too cool…a tiny secret brewer. Right by our house that serve select beers and hosts B-roll movie nights with prizes and food trucks…I’m so glad we found this place. They’re totally a local gem. You may have trouble finding them due to their hidden “off the Main Street” nature. Park on wealthy just west of erb thai then walk down the little alley way. You’ll see their patio and outdoor lights Marconage (not sure if I spelled that correctly) is a true work of art

The best sour beer crafter in Michigan. Hands down my favorite place to spend chill time with loved ones while sipping on handcrafted specialty beverages! Everything is good, some are great, and some are so amazing you only get to taste it once and it's gone. Don't miss this craft company if you have the chance to try anything they produce, you won't be disappointed. They even have "clean" beer now, meaning non-sour, and it's top notch just like their other products!

If you love sours, you have to try Speciation. Super tart and flavorful sour beer. I suggest getting the flight to try 4 different beers! Very cool location off wealthy street behind another building. Chill and welcoming vibe. They do not serve food, but they let you bring in your own food or order delivery to their building. They also have a small selection of board games you can use while you are there. Will return in the future.

Speciation is intimate and comfortable. If you want to experience alchemy in a glass, come try one of their pastry sours!!! Panoptic and Macronage are sour ales made made with various pastries and sweet goodies. In my 20 years as a beer affecianado, I have never had beers in which I could so distinctly taste everything it was brewed with! I don't know how they've done it, but it's breathtaking, and you should try them!!!

This is a relatively small brewery, tucked back off the street. There’s a decent amount of seating for their size and they have a nice little outdoor patio as well. Either in flavor or back story, most of their beer and wines are incredibly unique. They tend to brew things you actually won’t find most other places, which makes them stand out. My guess is you’ll want to grab a flight because you’ll want to try them all!
