#bloodychicken #poorservice I came in yesterday evening at around 9:45 ordered the mushroom and goat cheese crostini which was luke warm and the wings were not completely done. My stomach is currently in knots. I only gave you a 2 because the manager got me a new server after the first server didn't know if the mushroom dish qualified for the 1/2 off appetizers then didn't offer to find out. I had to tell her that I wanted to try it and asked politely if she could find out. She yelled over to a guy who was off shift sitting in a corner eating and asked him, he said he thinks so, she turned to me and reiterated that she "thinks" it is. I asked her again if she could find out, she rolled her eyes and said ok. I also asked for a straw which was right behind her on the bar, she said ok...and I ended up getting my own straw. She brought the meal, the chicken had fries when she had specifically asked me if I wanted any, I said no, she looked surprised and said ok. When I told her that I never asked for them she told me I did when I didn't want bread and fried potatoes so I knew I didn't. Then she told me "well the kids meal is free so..." And just looked at me like it was really about the price!! Then she looked at me and said"its garlic parmesan wings" , I told her " I know" because I never said anything about the wings then I said "which is what I asked for but I didn't ask for the fries" she let out a very annoyed sound and said as she was walking away " I'll try to do something about it" when at 50% off they were .50 so what's the problem?? My point was its your job to listen and you seem to be refusing to listen, walking away while I'm still trying to talk, not finding out about the specials without me asking repeatedly. So as I said before the 2 came from the second server who was very personable. But even afterwards the first server was walking around my table, cleaning, giving me dirty looks out of the corner of her eye with no apology for her poor behavior, I was confused because this is your job and you're treating me like I shouldn't have even come!! I will be contacting management again in the morning with a picture of the bloody chicken if they would...
Read moreI recently visited Uccello with a friend and felt compelled to share my experience. As a Black male, I encountered some disappointing and discriminatory service that I believe is important to highlight.
From the moment we arrived, the host's demeanor was unwelcoming. I approached calmly, but it seemed my presence irritated her. After being seated, our waitress brought us water, and everything seemed fine at first. After we took 5 to 10 minutes to look through the menu, the waitress returned to take my friend's order, who is Caucasian, but attempted to walk away without taking my order. My friend had to speak up, and even then, the waitress seemed annoyed and almost stormed off before finally allowing me to order.
After another 5 to 10 minutes, we finally received our food. While my friend's sub was great, my pasta, though well-cooked, was served with a spoon instead of a fork, which felt dismissive. Throughout the meal, I noticed the waitress consistently avoided engaging with me, focusing her attention on my friend instead. When I tried to get the bill, the same thing happened—she continued to evade communication with me.
To top it off, as I went to pay, I saw the waitress dip her finger in the sauce on my plate, smudging tomato sauce on my debit card. This felt disrespectful and unprofessional, leaving me feeling profiled and uncomfortable.
While the restaurant's atmosphere was pleasant, the treatment I received from the host and waitress was disappointing and unacceptable. I would not recommend this establishment to other minorities, as they may face similar discrimination. It’s disheartening to experience this in a public setting, and I hope the management addresses...
Read moreI ordered through doordash because their sole delivery driver left early that night and they could not offer delivery services. Okay, cool, but doordash does not offer customization of your order so you get what you get. I called the restaurant and with the help of a hostess, I was able to find a workaround. I ordered chicken parm, an extra spaghetti and tomato sauce, and an extra salad in addition to the salad that accompanies my chicken parm. I called the restaurant again and attempted to change the bread that comes with the chicken to ciabatta, as the doordash website does not offer a choice but I know that the restaurant does. The guy on the phone says yes, the request will be fulfilled. When I got my order, a whole salad was missing, and the salad that DID come came without the dressings i ordered, rendering the salad inedible. There were no eating utensils in the bag and the bread was garlic instead of ciabatta. When I called to rectify the situation they basically told me I was SOL because I ordered through doordash. This was a 45 dollar meal and with tip it came up to 50+. Again, in addition to items missing, I didn’t even get so much as a fork or a napkin in the bag. The one star rating is because this is the consistently bad service I have come to expect from this restaurant. This is one of multiple times I have ordered and gotten half of my order, or got my order wrong and at this point, I’m pretty frustrated. Please note that this is the only branch that I have had such a bad experience at. The other uccellos in town have always offered consistently good to excellent service, but this location? Don’t order unless you want to play russian roulette...
