What a fantastic way to spend a Sunday morning.
Delaney's Diner in Grandview did not disappoint. What started as a quick trip for coffee at Boston Stokers turned into a full-fledged, action-packed venture.
As we crossed paths with a client walking out, my wife noted to me, âThatâs a newer placeâ as we walked into Boston Stoker
A lovely couple instantly chimed in: it is fantastic!
Curiosity and hunger won out...
The place was packed...
As we waited in the seating area, I digressed from our day by analyzing the staff and atmosphere.
Jacob gave us an option: two spots at the bar or waiting another 10 minutes. I wanted to wait for a more intimate table, but from the start, our impromptu trip had turned into a new type of adventure.
Little did we know our adventure was beginning. The bar top gave us full access to the kitchen, process, and people.
Shana and I have both held industry jobs that allowed us to be aware of what was unfolding. Running a diner like this is no walk in the park. Eggs were slapping, and voices were carrying. The lead chef processed multiple tickets and coordinated food times. Wait staff stepped in to quell the fire. Not only did they remind the kitchen of missing items, but they constantly pivoted to run the pace set before them.
Shana and I had front-row seats to the chaotic madness in motion. But interestingly enough, the food was beyond our expectations. The quality and taste, mixed with the service, make my heart go out to a team that painstakingly fights the good fight day in and day out. This place is a gem, and I count myself privileged to dine at such a fine establishment.
I can't recommend this type of environment to anyone, but for those looking to step into the ring and learn from these leaders, this is a place to consider. Emotions aside, the work is tough and rewarding. Serving the client and co-workers makes our world a place to...

I had the absolute pleasure of dining at Delaneyâs Diner recently, and let me tell you, it was a breakfast experience like no other. I arrived just as they opened, eager to start my day with what I had heard was an exceptional meal, and I was not disappointed.
From the moment I walked in, the service was nothing short of amazing. The staff greeted me with warm smiles and made me feel right at home. What truly set the experience apart was the chef himself bringing out my dish â a personal touch that showed their dedication to customer satisfaction.
Now, let's talk about the omelette. It was nothing short of spectacular. Fluffy, perfectly cooked, and filled with fresh, delicious ingredients, it was easily one of the best omelettes I've ever had. In fact, I would rank Delaneyâs Diner among the top three breakfast spots I've ever visited.
If youâre looking for a place that offers exceptional food and service, Delaneyâs Diner is a must-visit. I canât wait to go back and try more of their...
Read moreIt was a no for me. First time ordering and they forgot half the $33 order. Didnât receive hash browns and all they could offer were credit on a free hash brown next time we return, which will be never. Surely, I ordered scrambled eggs with cheese and the man I spoke to over the phone read the order back to me and said scrambled eggs with cheese. We didnât receive those either. When we called, they claim we never even ordered eggs and also swore our hash browns were in the bag with the grits, asking us to double check. They were indeed not in there, so why argue? All we got was burnt bacon and pancakes plus French toast that werenât even mediocre. The food is nasty, if you think otherwise Iâd question your palette. I wanted a refund, but since that ship has sailed, I just wonât recommend this place to any others so they can at least save their money. Mind you, I NEVER leave reviews on anything, so thatâs how annoyed I am. First impressions...
