I know there are now only 3 reviews but please notice how they are all 1 stars. It is because they would not allow 0 stars. In March I reserved a minivan from this location. I came to pick it up for our vacation on July the 23rd at 1 PM, which was my pick up time, and it was not there. Now I was not too upset by this because it is not really the locations fault. But what did upset me was I was never offered any sort of refund or break because the car was there late. Once the vehicle did get there the lady from the front desk came out and looked at it and asked me if it was okay to not clean it out because it wasn't so bad. Reluctantly I took a look inside and agreed to take it without it being cleaned out because I had to leave and it was already an hour after I was supposed to pick it up. So after I go inside to complete the reservation I am handed the keys and I go to leave. When I get in the van the check engine light is on, something that I have to assume the worker saw when she got in the van to take down the mileage and fuel level, but they never said anything. So I make a call to the front desk while I am in the parking lot and tell her that the light is on and she tells me she has no other vans and if I want I can take it to get exchanged for another van at the airport location. I agreed and asked if she would call ahead to let them know. She said she would. So I drive to the airport and when I go to exchange not only do they not have ANY vans but the woman from the location I rented from NEVER called ahead. At this point I am wasting time and patience. I was lucky because the manager at the airport worked something out for me and got me in a comparable vehicle. I know this was long but I feel I need to warn anyone who feels they should come here to STAY AWAY. Not only will I never rent from this location, but I will never rent from Avis again. Read moreThe owner, ShaMeka, is shady and the only person this review is about. I've been renting from Avis consistently for 10+ years (Avis Preferred Plus member). I've never had an issue with any location until now. Before returning the vehicle around noon, I filled up and even topped off the tank at a gas station literally 2 blocks away. When I called and spoke with the owner about a $25 fuel charge that hit my account days later, she said the vehicle's gas gauge read one notch off from full. When I questioned her explanation, she referred to the notes on the day I dropped off the vehicle. The mileage was recorded about 40 miles BELOW from where it is now... (which explains why the gas is one notch off from full.) This means someone else drove the car and they should be the one responsible for filling up the tank, right? Apparently, the owner does not agree. Instead, she got defensive and first claimed her employees do not joyride in cars...then said she will not pay for gas out of her own pocket...then suggested someone wrote the mileage down wrong when I dropped it off... then told me to drive back out there to refill the tank if I don't want to be charged. These are all B.S. excuses for something that's already been documented and confirmed. She told me to take it up with customer service and hung up the phone on me - unbelievable. Moral of the story is that this owner is grossly unfair and morally wrong. Always take pictures of everything when picking up AND dropping off vehicles - especially at this location. Avis customer service immediately reimbursed me and apologized for her incredibly unprofessional behavior. Still, I can't justify doing business with this location any longer. Read moreJay Got Me together. Thank the Lord! The two guys that help out here and one runner are great. One employee in particular, Stafford, this guy is a star employee. Anyone would benefit from this guys ability to keep his cool. Professional, can handle diverse situations and get the job done to the best of his ability, I could tell he was still learning...learning.. Dispite.....customer frustrations. Two different guys at check in on different days did a phenomenal job at keeping there cool, despite lines growing, frustrated customers. And store hours approaching only to have more impatience in the building. I will say, The wait is long, staff seemingly, aren't properly prepared or trained. It just isn't a smooth transaction from reservation, to pick up, to drop off. It's a startup business where we see entrepreneurs not spend enough time developing, organizing and learning the business their in. However, I do believe once all the ducks are lined up it'll be great. I wanted to give this place a 1 star. Because I was here, for an hour and 15 minutes and still didn't get the rate quoted online for Uber drivers. They weren't set up for uber professional drivers. It cost me more.
