I applied to a management job a couple nights ago and I called yesterday asking if Antonio Harris, the General Manager, was available. I had no luck so I went to seek him out personally. When I walked in, I patiently waited, and at one point I suggested to an employee that I'm just here to speak with Antonio about getting a job. She talked to him, and I sat down for over half an hour, waiting for the rush to die down. During this rush, Antonio was preparing 16 whoppers for a doordash. He was in the grill because, as he stated very loudly for all eight customers in the lobby to hear, one of his cooks told him over text that he quit that morning, but "it's okay we'll find somebody else." Not long after, I started getting publicly berated by Antonio, as he said things like "I'm not hiring nobody off the streets to be a manager," and "if he wants to wait, that's on him, I'm not talking to nobody." I got up from my seat, told the same employee "it's alright, thank you" and walked out. It's a huge shame that people are running businesses like this. I'm not in the best of places, and my girlfriend has two kids, so I am desperately trying to find decent work so I can do my best to take care of them. It's pretty close to where I live, so not having transportation wouldn't have been a concern. I have 6+ years experience working in food industry and a ServSafe Food Manager Certification. I guess another business would be more likely to benefit from that than Antonio would. He seems to have it ALLLL...
Read moreAs someone who's been in the fast-food scene for over two years, this place is a total joke. I used to think my own workplace had some issues, but this spot? I wouldn't even consider walking through that door, and thank goodness I didn't.
So, I decided to place an order through Doordash, but somehow it got routed to this place. No big deal. The delivery person was super nice, told me they were waiting on my order. They later on told me they didn't have mozzarella sticks (which I specifically ordered along with a few other items). They asked if there could be a substitution (a pretty standard request in the fast-food world, trust me, I've been there). Instead of offering an alternative, they just said "no." Talk about unprofessional. Not only that, but they also forgot my fries. And to top it off, the delivery person reported that the staff were swearing and yelling at each other. Some of them even had the nerve to make fun of a colleague, and not in a friendly way at all. The only pro in this whole mess was the Doordash delivery person, and they don't even work there! I feel sorry for the poor soul who had to endure such rudeness.
My advice? Keep your kids away from this place, and honestly, don't bother ordering from here either. It's in dire need of a revamp and some new hires. And to the good folks still stuck working there? You deserve much better—consider finding a new job...
Read moreI went to this BK today 7/29/20. I was in drive thru at 12:53pm. I ordered 2 jr whoppers and 2 small fries. When I got to the window The guy said my total was $9.98. I handed him a coupon for my 2 sandwiches and 2 small fries for $3.99 and my debit card. I was charged $9.98. He handed me a bag and when I looked in it , it was not what I ordered. I gave it back and said this ain’t mine. He then started to argue with me telling me that’s what I ordered. So I asked then why did I hand you a coupon for 2 whopper jr’s and 2 small fries for $3.99? He looked dumb founded. And still tried to hand me a drink. I said I didn’t order that! I told him my order again for the 2nd time. So then he hands me some coins. And said my order came to $9.62. By now I’m mad and told him he was rude and to have the manager finish my order. Because the coupon said $3.99 plus tax!!! The manager came to the drive thru window register but never addressed me! Finally after cutting my car off I was handed the correct order and $5 and change! I will never eat at this BK again and I’m gonna go on my social media sites and ask all my friends not to make a...
