My sister and her husband are big pizza people (make their own, eat it out at the best places) and they found this place on Reddit while searching for “best pizza kc area.” (We’re from seattle.) Providence Pizza was awesome. None of us had any idea what to expect, and it’s in Grandview, which is a pretty small suburb with not a lot going on (to my eye). It’s not too big of a place. You order at the counter (can get slices or whole pies) and grab a number and sit down. We were a party of 10, and they were pretty chill at letting us move some tables together to accommodate, but it was fairly busy at 6:30 on a Thursday. They don’t take reservations, so kind of luck of the draw if you’re looking for seating. Seems like a lot of people did takeout and just came in to get their pizza and go. I’m vegan, and they have follow your heart vegan cheese as a topping option to either substitute on one of their pies or build-your-own. They have three types of pizza - New York thin crust, Detroit deep dish (bready crust with toasty cheese over the edges), and Sicilian (with the seeds on the bottom). I got the Detroit deep dish with red sauce, vegan cheese, fresh basil, and castelvratrano olives. It was SO good. And guess what — it cost $11. This pizza in seattle would easily be $18. My high-standards pizza family also really enjoyed it, and got a ton of different pies. I think my sister said she liked the Sicilian the least. Everyone enjoyed the garlic knots appetizer (except me, bc they had cheese on them), and there’s beer for purchase. Some people got salads and the portions were big (can order as a half or a whole). Will definitely be back when we visit our family in KC!

Found myself in Grandview today. I’d been inside providence once before but didn’t eat; however, was drawn to the chill, relaxing, warm vibe inside, remembered how mouth-watering the pizza looked, and came back in to actually eat today. Halfway through my first slice, I was in lust. Halfway through my second slice, I was in love. Incredibly delicious. NY style served by the slice or can order a whole pie. I had the Buffalo chicken and Canadian bacon/pineapple/cream cheese…not sure their official respective names, but they were well worth their $4.50/slice price tag, whatever they’re called. I live in midtown, and would say this pizza is worth the drive to Grandview; fortunately, there’s a location in westport which I’ll be sure to go to from now on. Elevated pizza stand with grated Parmesan and red pepper flakes at the table, and a self-serve water station with napkins, utensils, etc. Order at front register then you’re on your own, which i prefer. they do serve alcohol for those inquiring minds. Bottom line? Cozy digs, great tasting pizza, fair price, good selection of pies, I’m definitely a fan.

Delicioso. 4 not 5 Stars, just something w the crust threw things off for me, and the cheese sauce ratio not quite cutting it is all. Could be much saucier imo. That delicious sauce. Give a little, why dontcha. What do I know tho I’m just a brat from New York :) They do pizza by the slice or you can order made from scratch. Beer and wine available. Clean solid space, the guys throw built pizzas in the huge oven they got going. Open kitchen style makes all of us feel safe. Also the quality of ingredients seemed top notch to me! Huge cans of the real authentic Italian pizza sauce in the kitchen, lest my eyes were deceiving me. Thank you also for the friendly service. Worth trying again. Will go for the fresh pie next time! Sidenote for anyone wondering: the reason they don’t deliver Detroit style is because it’s Sicilian only. Just some misinformation floating around on the Internet

Providence Pizza in Grandview is a delightful culinary haven for pizza enthusiasts, offering a delectable array of pizzas that capture the essence of traditional Italian flavors with a modern twist. As a seasoned pizza aficionado, I recently had the pleasure of experiencing their culinary delights, and I must say, Providence Pizza exceeded my expectations in every way possible. The ambiance of Providence Pizza is inviting and cozy, with a charming rustic decor that sets the perfect tone for a relaxed dining experience. The restaurant's warm lighting and comfortable seating create a welcoming atmosphere that is ideal for enjoying a leisurely meal with friends or family. Now, let's delve into the star of the show—the pizzas. Providence Pizza prides itself on using only the finest, freshest ingredients to craft their pizzas, and this commitment to quality shines through in every bite. One of my absolute favorites was the Federal Hill pizza, a mouthwatering masterpiece that pays homage to Providence's historic Italian neighborhood. The Federal Hill pizza is a celebration of bold flavors and hearty ingredients. Topped with savory Italian sausage, roasted red peppers, caramelized onions, and a generous sprinkle of Parmesan cheese, every bite is a symphony of flavors that dance on your taste buds. The combination of the savory sausage with the sweetness of the peppers and onions creates a harmonious balance that is simply irresistible.Another standout pizza that stole my heart was the Nice Slice. True to its name, this pizza delivers a nice slice of pizza heaven with its unique blend of flavors. The Nice Slice features a medley of fresh vegetables including tomatoes, mushrooms, red onions, and black olives, all artfully arranged on a bed of gooey mozzarella cheese and tangy tomato sauce. What sets Providence Pizza apart is their commitment to innovation while staying true to traditional pizza-making techniques. Each pizza is expertly crafted and baked to perfection in their wood-fired oven, resulting in a crispy yet chewy crust that serves as the ideal canvas for the flavorful toppings.Aside from their stellar pizzas, Providence Pizza also offers a variety of other delectable options to round out your dining experience. From appetizers like garlic knots and bruschetta to fresh salads and indulgent desserts, there is something for everyone to enjoy. The service at Providence Pizza is also worth mentioning. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive, ensuring that every aspect of your dining experience is nothing short of exceptional. In conclusion, Providence Pizza in Grandview is a must-visit destination for pizza lovers. Whether you're craving a classic like the Federal Hill pizza or want to explore unique flavors like the Nice Slice, you're sure to be impressed by the quality, taste, and overall experience that Providence Pizza has to offer. I left Providence Pizza thoroughly satisfied and already looking forward to my next visit to indulge in more of their...

The food is amazing. The ordering process makes me want to give up and go elsewhere every time. They discontinued some of the most basic choices like barbecue chicken and added weird options that almost nobody is probably ordering. If I want to go order on their website right now chicken is not an option (found out they no longer have regular chicken, just breaded..still trying to make sense of this. ) Tried to call nobody answers (finally got someone to answer..editing after my call in order). Try to order on doordash, Barbecue sauce is not an option so I can't order a basic barbecue chicken pizza because I can't put all the ingredients together on one area. As of right now, the only options on their website to order from meat on a 12-in custom is all pork. We don't eat pork. So now I either have the option of choosing somewhere else (which means I have to go look at reviews and find a whole different pizza place), go with Southside Mafia who does no pork, or I have to drive all the way over there and try to order in person and sit and wait. I really wish that they would make their ordering options consistent across all platforms, and not discontinue popular pizzas/ingredients to add pizzas that sound unappetizing.

I originally had 2 stars because I'm that frustrated. We fell in love with this place then they took away all of our pizzas and options (except mine because Im basic w/extra cheese). Had to add more because whoever took my order was AWESOME! She was patient and helped me get my pizza life together. Super sweet, an instant mood changer. (Their team members are typically on point with customer service. Always a good...
