We called in a take out order that we normally get other places but we wanted to try this place out because we haven’t been here. We ordered the chimichanga with carnitas as the meat and a side dish (grilled jalapeños) with some extra spicy salsa and queso.
Once I got there to pick up the order, what would have normally been under $15 turned out to be over $35. Turns out that they had the chimichanga and carnitas as two separate entree orders. That should have come up to around $25. That really left me scratching my head as to how the total was still over $35! When I talked to the Owner/Manager/Host guy he mentioned that they normally charge extra for sides of their spicy salsa and queso which he hadn’t mentioned over the phone.
So not only did they screw up the one entree that we HAD wanted, but they made a second entree that we didn’t want, the grilled jalapeños were only half cooked and they charged us about $3 extra per side sauce, which is just laughable.
All that being said I went back to talk manager/host/owner guy about the mixup and he stated they didn’t offer carnitas in the chimichanga so they had made a second entree and that they normally charge extra for the spicy salsa. When I started to question him about why they didn’t just tell me that that couldn’t put the carnitas in the chimichanga and about how much they charged for the spicy salsa, he started to act like he couldn’t understand english and kinda just shrugged at me.
I’m the end he argued with me about giving me a replacement dish instead of refunding the entree we didn’t want (and returned unopened) and how it was better for them that way. That being said he ended up giving me a partial refund and I left feeling like I still ended up with the short stick.
Basically one star because the food was somewhat edible and one because in the end he attempted to...
Read moreI ate at this restaurant a few years ago and I wasn’t to fond of it. I couldn’t pinpoint exactly what it was I didn’t like so I decided to give it another chance. I came here yesterday evening with my friend. There were only 2 vehicles in the parking lot. When we got inside there was only one other couple in the restaurant, dining in. When we came in they greeted us and sat us down. They offered if we wanted any drinks and we ordered a margarita. When our food came out, (which it didn’t take long😊) our waiter Didn’t check back in with us later on, after we received the food. Usually a waiter will check back with you to make sure you’re fine, don’t need anymore drinks, napkins or etc. We ran out of napkins, we weren’t served a cup of water, and they even took a while to come get our card so we can pay for our ticket. We had to get up and go to the counter for them to come check us out. Both me and my friend agreed that the Food was good but the Service was bad. I’m confident the bad service is the reason why I didn’t care about coming back here last...
Read moreWell my wife and I are Mexican Americans. When we go to a Mexican restaurant, we usually get greeted in Spanish. I always answer in English. I understand the majority of conversational Spanish. I am by no means fluent. My wife doesn't know any Spanish. When they see that we don't speak Spanish sometimes we're treated a little different. Well this particular time our first time at this restaurant. We are greeted and shown to a seat. A young lady brings chips and salsa set them down and walks away. Without a greeting a smile or asking for our drink order. I thought wow that's different. Then a group of white girls come in and are immediately seated have their drink orders taken and brought to them. While my wire and I stare in amazement and apparent invisibility. Someone comes out to take ther food order. REALLY??!!! That was enough for me. 30 minutes without being acknowledged. I said let's go. I'm sure they didn't even notice. There was less than 10 people in the whole...
