It looked great and we were looking forward to a date night on our getaway here. However, we called and the conversation went like this: “hello, we were just wondering if we could make a reservation for tonight?” “We don’t take reservations” “Ok, how busy is it looking for tonight?” “We have free tables right now but I obviously can’t tell the future.” “Oh, ok. Thank you.”
We hung up, astonished, at how rude that was, and ended up deciding to go somewhere different because of it. Customer service is so important, even though the reviews for food were so good, I didn’t even want to go here after such a negative response. Feedback: Recommended response would be something like.. “on a Tuesday night we’re typically busy/moderately busy/not busy, but I can’t make any promises.” Or, being that we called around 5pm, they could have suggested a more likely time to get a table for example “if you arrive at 6:30 it’s more likely to be busy than if you came by 5:30”.. or just a simple “Unfortunately I’m not sure/can’t say, sorry!”
Really disappointed. I don’t enjoy leaving this kind of review- but hoping it helps management improve...
Read moreEhh. It was ok. We got in and there wasn't many choices for my wife and I to sit since the place only has about maybe 10 tables or less. So we had to sit at a table that was meant for 6 people because any table suitable for just us two was dirty with dishes or drinks on it still. Everything took a little too long. A little too long to see our waitress. About 15 to 20 minutes too long to get our food. We were hoping for a quieter place to have a meal but this was more like a bar that also serves some food. For the bar crowd I think it's great or four people that want to go and have loud discussions and listen to music. It just wasn't what we were looking for. The food was fairly priced though mediocre. My wife and I had the burger and while it served its purpose I definitely could have made a better one at home. Our waitress was very nice and overall I would say the experience was an okay one but I don't think we would be returning there unless it was with a friend for drinks or something. It looks like it has a nice setup for Open Mic also. It decent place. Just not what we...
Read moreThe atmosphere is very nice. Comfortable, not too pretentious, but not as "relaxed" as many Medford venues serving the same sort of fare.
We were there during happy hour and went nuts ordering from that menu. As some one mentioned earlier, the food did take a little while as it does in most restaurants where the food is made to order. It's not Burger King after all, and it doesn't taste like it either.
We found the waitresses (we were there during a shift-change, so we got to experience two different servers) delightful. We were greeted with smiles, they kept coming back to make sure our sodas glasses were topped off and to ask if everything was OK.
Everything we had was delicious. Even something as trivial as onion rings were so tasty. The calamari was to die for. Clearly they cook their own food rather than throwing frozen things into a deep fryer. Especially good was their white-bean hummus. Holy cow that was good.
Anyway, when in Grants pass this will be the place I go. Check it out. In Bohemian, you might find a favorite place to eat in...
