Food Studio, Elevated Cocktails and Cuisine — Restaurant in Grants Pass

My family and I have had many great dinners at the Food Studio. On Saturday we took a friend out to the Food Studio after telling him what fantastic meals we’ve had there. What a huge huge disappointment. My go to entrée is the ginger flank steak. It took 30 to 45 minutes for us to get our salads. And an hour later, we were still waiting for our entrées. We were told that it was due to the high number of takeout orders. However, I only saw one takeout order the whole entire time that I was there. When my ginger flank steak arrived, I had asked for medium rare. It was medium well the rice was room temperature and clumpy, and there was no ginger on the plate at all. This is my go to meal at the Food Studio and I know how it usually comes. It was terrible! My wife ordered the rockfish piccata. It came with overcooked pasta with no sauce at all on it. Unbelievable the lack of attention to our entire meal last. It’s painfully obvious there’s been a huge turnover in the kitchen with the chef. Time to pump the brakes on this place for six months to a year, there’s just too many other options in downtown Grants...

Attempting to dine at the Food Studio was the WORST restaurant experience I have ever had. Our party of 6 was seated promptly at one of several vacant tables, was given water, but was not contacted by any staff member again for more than 20 minutes. During this time another party was seated near us, received drinks, and placed their food order. When we finally got our cocktails it was more than 15 minutes before we were approached by staff to place a food order. An hour after being seated, our table had received a drink order and 1 of the appetizers ordered while other diners had entered the restaurant and been served drinks and food. Frustrated by the lack of attention, we questioned staff and were told because we didn't have prior reservations for the evening, diners who did had priority. We continued to wait for our food order. We had been originally seated at 6:45 and at 8:50 had not received our food order. The service was downright horrible! - acted like I was being so inconvenient for dining there... waited in the entrance a long time before anyone even acknowledged me and saw four guests after me experience the same.... I should've left during that time and regret staying...

It was probably the worst burger I've ever had...! Burger was burnt, bun was burnt, fries dry as can be and the soda had some sort of gross particles in it... barf! Clean your soda machine! The pickle was the only thing that was decent lol and even then looked old and wrinkled.

Plus - They have their smoker on the sidewalk outside the front of restaurant completely unattended... gross! Looked into it and saw ribs dry and did not look good at all... whole area looked super unsanitary!

Look at the answers to some of these reviews shows this place is pretty unprofessional... Even calling someone an idiot!! I'm sure you'll be glad not to see me again or the big groups I've brought in... Definitely taking...
