G Street Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Grants Pass

Went there recently for lunch their were only 2 other tables with people. We were seated and we told her we knew what we wanted 2 cobb salads . Instead of taking our order she laid down two menus and took off . She was running all over the place which we couldn't understand. Every now and then as she ran past our table she said I'll be right with you. We didn't have silverware, we didn't have water, we just sat there and watched her. At the point we were ready to get up and walk out she finally came to the table, took our order and left . We finally flagged her down and asked for water. It took for ever and we asked for lemon in our water and there was none. finally the salad came but we still have no silverware to eat with. We flag her down again and ask for silverware and proceeded to wait and stare at our salad that we have waited almost an hour for and we could not eat! My salad had toppings missing and I had to ask for it to be brought out. We had to eat quickly because our 1 hour lunch was going on 1 1/2 hrs. We had to ask for a bill and we left the money on the table and got the heck out of there. By the time we got back to work our lunch had taken 2 hours WE WILL NEVER GO BACK FOR LUNCH OR DINNER! Everytime we try this place the service has been horrible. I I went there hoping for a change and told my husband let's give them one more chance. No more chances it was the worst experience we had ever had there. I don't know how they stay...

This place has great food, but not great service. The younger girls are good servers but the main manager guy likes to socialize more than provide guests with service. I've tried 4 times in the last 2 months, and even took my family there. One of us got a burnt bun, another asked TWICE for an appetizer (both before and after getting the main course) and still never received them. My food was brought about 15 minutes after the other plates, so the others were done eating by the time I got one of the two sushi rolls I ordered. I placed my empty drink at the edge of the table, yet nobody ever bothered to come by so I didn't get a refill. Thankfully there was water at least...The other roll was only delivered as the check was brought to us. I can't tolerate the terrible service anymore, my friends & family will be avoiding this place we REALLY crave sushi & will have to deal with very hit-or-miss service. Tip for the managers: chat & socialize less, focus on service. Seating your guests, prompt order taking, quicker delivery of food, less burnt food, return to table for checkups and refills. This is pretty basic stuff in the restaurant business. The bad service is only tolerated by some because it's the main/only good sushi place in town. Don't go an a holiday, came in on Fathers day. Normally the food and service is great when I'm home to visit. Horrible service and horrible attitude from staff. I understand they were busy. We're called ahead for our party of 8. If you didn't have the staff don't say you can seat us. No apology, snippy if asked where our food might be coming. When we got our food, it was cold. And she almost poured the one hot item all over my nephew. So the kitchen was on par but the service was not. Tasted good but my food cold and sushi was not cold, as it should be. Our food sat. When we say we told them who was on each check. Asked them to separate the check and said no they don't do that. She separated the order when we ordered. I'm very disappointed. I've looked forward to this visit every time I visit my folks..... so sad it ruined the evening. I understand being under staffed and busy but they weren't really that busy. The place was not packed. But at least be apologetic let us know our food is delayed..... which it really wasn't.... and when complained about it being cold and taking too long, not splitting the bill. You take nothing off?
