When I first moved here I use to love taking my boys here for our little ice cream dates. I'd go with my boyfriend here as well for quick coffee and empanada dates. It's always a hit or miss on what kind of treatment or vibe you are going to get. Somedays its decent service some days it's like you are scum of the earth walking in somewhere you aren't wanted. I'd still come anyways because the food was worth it. Now recently I have to pay for sauce which is fine but I use to also get like a handful maybe of plantain chips and now today I got 3. Again . Disappointing. I also didnt know I had to pay for sauce now and as I was paying I wasn't asked if I would like sauce. I had to go back in. I really don't like to leave negative reviews but it's disappointing when one of your favorite spots was already unpredictable and then switches up food/price. Multiple times I've gotten 3-5 plantain chips. I understand changing the price but dont change the amount of food.. Why even give any chips. If I want empanadas from now on I'll go to Nelly's. It's $5 for an empanada over there n pretty sure sauce comes with it. I Also wanted a lemonade that I'm pretty sure is store bought and turned it down because it was $5. No thanks. The food is good but not great enough for snobbiness. I wish you...
Read moreThis place is amazing. I went for the first time a couple weeks ago and have already visited them pretty regularly since! All Staff I’ve interacted with are so warm and welcoming. The owners, Manny and Zach, seem like genuinely good people. The gelato is perfection. They have a flavor for everyone. The guava Maria may be the best dessert I ever had in my life! 🤤 (TRY IT!) I haven't found a place around here that sells tropical fruit flavored frozen treats until House Of Glory came along. The baked goods are delicious. I just recently tried the absolutely delicious Glory Croissant and Monte Cristo croissant pressed sandwiches. They were so good! They come with a side of plantain chips that are so tasty, I wish they sold them by the bag! Lol And their cortadito is the best pick-me-up! I plan on trying everything on the menu eventually. The owners have done such an incredible job upgrading the place and making it into their own. The inside is clean, vibrant, and has an island/tropics vibe that makes me feel at home. It's a business that is about community and family. It's truly a joy to have them around, and I see them thriving and making their mark here in Grants Pass. God bless you guys! And thanks for your...
Read moreI have been watching this place take shape for months. As a business owner in downtown Grants Pass any revitalization is a happy dance. The interior design, styling, wall floral installation, tile and wallpaper are so sophisticated and such a welcome surprise. Inside those walls even more so. Manny and Zach are from Miami. They relocated here with their daughter after a shutdown nation. They bring warmth, culture, sophistication and passion to our community. Infusing their Colombian and Cuban roots into their food and their big warm personalities into your experience. Last week we went twice when they were closed. My huge family was visiting from Chicago, Boise, Salt Lake City and California for Thanksgiving. Not only did they open up and allow us all to takeover they spent time getting to know us and hanging out with us! Passionate people create passionate businesses and passionate food. Run! Get there! Meet Zach and Manny and partake of their talents of delicious food and great conversation.
PS. The guava cream cheese, passionate fruit and egg nog gelato are musts. Splurge with the bubble...
