Sizzler — Restaurant in Grants Pass

Do not trust them. They sell New York strip steak under the guise of ribeye steak. That is crime!

I made an order for my ribeye steak, mash potatoes, and extra grilled mushrooms and onions. I picked them up at the store and brought them to my hotel. When I checked my food, I realized that there were no mushrooms in my container. Instead, there was baked toast. I don't wanna cause big problems cuz it was a tough day, so I just let it be and started to eat. However, the steak was so tough that I could not chew well. At the moment, I'd like to figure out a matter of my meal. I called the Sizzler and explained about omitted mushrooms. The young lady told me you can come to pick up your mushrooms if you want. Without any apologizes. It took 5mins to get there by car, and it was heavy rain. I don't wanna my poor, and tough steak is getting cold, so I let her know I will visit 1 hour later after finishing my terrible steak.

While eating, I found that this is not a ribeye steak. It seems like New York strip steak. The price of New York is $4?$ 5? cheaper than ribeye. I closed the lid of container and went to the restaurant right away. I put on a smile and talked to the manager about my steak and mushrooms. However, she said this is ribeye steak. Well... I don't think so. I complained 3 times but she didn't admit it. I felt uncomfortable and upset. A few moments later, she let me sit on the table and said we will cook whole new dishes for you. I think this is a desirable solution. That is the reason why I give two stars.

When I received my new steak, that was real ribeye steak. I said to the manager yeah! this is true ribeye steak! The former one was New york steak! Hilariously, she didn't admit that mistake. She just said, "You should bring entire steak before you give...

We love to bring the grand kids here.They absolutely love having options and get to pick whatever they want. You never know if you're gonna get good service or not,sometimes you get ignored. May or may not get a drink refill without searching for someone. Sometimes the food runs out and it takes a while for them to refill it specifically the wings... same with silverware...though that's not often. The food is obviously decent quality, nothing amazing, but always fresh... I like that they sometimes change up the salads or add new things to the menu. The Tomato Soup is hands down my favorite , but they rarely have it. They have recently re branded and changed some things on the interior that look more commetcial and less "homey" They now say that they give unlimited cheese toast.. We got a fat pile that we couldn't even finish.But no one came back to visit our table.So we wouldn't have gotten more if we wanted. The focus is more on cleaning the tables than serving the existing customers even when the restaurant isn't very busy. Maybe because servers don't get tipped like a typical restaurant dinner?? Small annoyances aside we will always go back. Lots of new and different staff that were definitely not the best part of our most...

Had there steak and unlimited crispy shrimp plus unlimited salad bar, and strawberry lemonade, it was delicious!! And I was absolutely stuffed!! Defualt steak with that particular combo is a 6 Oz tri-tip which was tender juicy and cooked perfectly to my request! I'm not usually crazy about steak but this was super yummy! You can pay a little extra and upsize your steak to an 8 Oz or 12 Oz tri tip, or a rib eye or a new York, or just order the steak meals that come with those lol...had a loaded baked potato for my side and grabbed extra bacon for It from the salad bar! The crispy shrimp were a little small, but you get a TON of them per serving, and unlimited servings so was well worth it, salad bar was fresh and crispy lettuces plus option of spinach etc...was all very worth the money! I paid for three of us, and it was all high end meals with specialty drinks and add-ons and we spent about 95$ which sounds like a lot but we ate like royalty lol....also the staff was super friendly checked on us often without being over bearing which is an accomplishment in and of itself...all in all was an amazing...
