On May 14th, 2024, I attended an event with Wolfgang Puck catering in Frisco, which required an hour-long drive. Upon arrival, a manager (whose picture will be provided below) expressed disapproval of my neatly tied-up, natural hair, describing it as "wild" and "crazy." She subsequently contacted my boss, Brian, insisting that I "tame" my hair down. Additionally, she took a surreptitious photo of me and shared it with Brian without my consent. I went to her and asked why she took a photo of me without my permission and she said “I don’t care. I can do it without your permission” This incident sheds light on the discriminatory behavior of Wolfgang Puck's team toward their staff. Furthermore, there are concerns regarding their employment practices, including the employment of individuals without proof of work permits, as well as reports of food preparation in unsanitary conditions. An instance of unsanitary conditions is illustrated by the manager who criticized my hair. Despite addressing my hair, her own was left untied and loosely flowing, while she remained in close proximity to the food and beverages...
Read moreHad a long layover in Dallas and was starving, so my mom and I decided to check out this spot after hearing their food was good. We got seated quickly in a corner and checked out the menu. It was a great mix of pizzas, salads, appetizers, and specialties. I decided on their rotisserie chicken with broccolini right away, and my mom started with their soup. The soup was taking forever, so I decided to ask about it, and it turns out it is fresh made. So worth the about 30 minutes as it was creamy, with just a hint of salt and so delicious. Adding the pepper flakes and parmesian cheese gave it a nice kick!
When my rotisserie chicken came out, I was super surprised by the size. Two ample pieces of chicken wings with a brine and pesto based spread stared back at me. To accompany was a slightly grilled lemon that I used on top of the chicken. It was delicous as well, with a little hint of sweetness that delighted and tickled my tongue. Wow! Also, it came with a side of crunchy chips and ketchup. The chips were housemade and had a nice kick of garlic and salt.
This is a must when at DFW! I...
Read moreAw man, I was so excited to eat here. It's a Wolfgang Puck restaurant, it's gotta be great, right? It wasn't.
I ordered the four cheese ravioli. I received five ravioli. For $18, these five ravioli better be life changing. They were ok. I ate them, but honestly Chef Boyardee tastes better, gives more ravioli, and is cheaper.
My husband got the fettuccine alfredo. It was oily and maybe this is just a preference, but we could have done without the goat cheese. Also, I would expect fettuccine alfredo to actually have alfredo sauce in it. Maybe it did but it was a weird-tasting, oily alfredo?
After two entrees, two sodas and a tip, we spent $60. I'm surprised Wolfgang Puck's name is on this restaurant, and it's discouraged me from eating at any of his other...
