Pinch of Salt Pastries & Coffee — Restaurant in Grapevine

There aren’t enough words to show how appreciative I am of Pinch of Salt. After having to be gluten, dairy, and soy free due to health issues, I thought I could never enjoy food again like I did before. Pinch of Salt was the answer to all my prayers! They not only make delicious pastries and desserts, but they are hands down better than any food I had pre dietary restrictions. My fiancé and I are simply awestruck every time we eat their food! After visiting their adorable shop and taking frequent visits to local coffee shops in Fort Worth that carry their pastries, I put in an inquiry for them to make my birthday cake. First of all, they absolutely nailed the inspo pic! The cake was PERFECT (ignore the cherries, they were glittered and SO CUTE until my fiancé hit a bump in the road lol) and so yummy! We got the brown sugar vanilla flavor and all my guests couldn’t believe it was GF DF and said it was the best cake they ever had. It made my birthday all the more special so thank you Pinch of Salt! I can’t thank you and your wonderful staff enough! The only thing I wish is that you could ship cakes nationwide. I would love for y'all to make our wedding cake for our destination wedding! THE BEST gluten free pastries I’ve ever had, hands down.

I’ll be ordering from them for every occasion, without a doubt.

I don’t know what kind of sorcery they have going on there, but somehow they managed to make gluten free desserts retain their moisture, even after being left out and also right out of the refrigerator (pumpkin pound cake and lemon blueberry pound cake). I also ordered the coffee cake and the cardamom/pecan streusel muffins. My friend had some of each of those and couldn’t tell they were gluten free and went back for more. My son had the coffee cake and loved it and he’s not gf.

Unfortunately, my dog helped herself to the rest of the coffee cake and muffins. :/ So, I can’t personally attest those two - YET. I’ll be returning soon!

UPDATE 11/16/24: I ordered a variety of cupcakes for my niece’s birthday, she’s 35. Everyone loved them, and most of my family isn’t gluten free. They do an amazing job. They look beautiful, are packed really well and taste amazing. So happy to have found this place!

UPDATE 2/22/2025: Just ordered assortment of cupcakes for my son’s birthday. He isn’t GF, but likes these so much he wanted more form Pinch of Salt.

The bakery items were amazing!! The cookies were 10/10 would recommend even for people who aren’t gluten free. The cinnamon roll was great but it definitely gives gluten free-dough as it’s a little dense, still great but not a fluffy cinnamon roll! They were out of the sausage kolaches when I went late afternoon which is reasonable for how late in the day it was! Honestly the latte was not good :((( I got the salted caramel and I’m not sure if they’re housemade syrups? Also the service was a bit of a weird vibe. Felt a little sterile and it was like the last place the workers wanted to be at. Maybe they’re just a bit quiet-which that shouldn’t be held against them-just wanted to share the vibe I got. Also for my coffee, at first I was confused because the girl has not started making my coffee and I was like “do I need to tell her that I ordered a coffee?” But she eventually did, just not the normal urgency I’m used to when I was a server Ie, placing your current tasks down to make said drink, etc. **edit I went a second time and the vibe was definitely different & super welcoming!!
