We have been coming to Mi Dia for a few years now and brought our family in too and have always had a fairly pleasant experience. This past weekend, Saturday May 10 at about 5:15 we had the pleasure of having the outright most disgusting service from any waitress in any restaurant we have ever been to. The young Hispanic/latina woman initially came to the table and took our drink order and then came back so we could place our order. She didn’t end up giving us our food but another employee brought it to us. That’s where it all went downhill. Our waitress never even came to ask us how our food was nor ask us if we needed refills on our drinks. We were planning on ordering more drinks but she left a bad taste in our mouths and I would’ve probably had to go to the bar myself just to get it. She would blatantly walk past us to the table right behind us to check on them as well as the table in front of us instead. Absolutely unacceptable behavior. You would think she wasn’t working for a tip. We tip very well but I suppose prejudice kept her thinking otherwise and she thought she would be better off with the other two tables instead. I even had to go get my own extra napkins. She proceeded to pretend to care and asked me as she saw me walking back with them “oh I’m sorry did you need those” I said nothing only smiled. She came to collect plates when her more important table left and we asked for the check. She tried to butter me up in the end by asking me if I was a mother and telling me happy Mother’s Day etc. Pah-lease. She got cents more than the tip she deserved because my husband is a little more nice than I am. Sadly we...

Mi Dia offers a dining experience that elevates Mexican cuisine to the highest level. With a focus on quality ingredients and innovative flavors, the restaurant delivers an exceptional culinary journey for those seeking a taste of Mexico with a touch of sophistication.

One of the standout features of Mi Dia is the generous portion sizes. Despite being at the higher end of the spectrum, the meal portions are ample, ensuring that diners leave fully satisfied. From hearty mains to indulgent desserts, every dish is crafted with care and attention to detail.

The food at Mi Dia is nothing short of phenomenal. Each dish bursts with vibrant colors and bold flavors, showcasing the skill and creativity of the culinary team. Whether it's traditional favorites with a modern twist or inventive creations inspired by Mexican street food, every bite is a delight for the senses.

In addition to its culinary excellence, Mi Dia prides itself on being a family-friendly establishment. With a welcoming atmosphere and a menu that caters to all ages, it's the perfect place for a memorable dining experience with loved ones. Plus, the restaurant is wheelchair accessible, ensuring that everyone can enjoy its delights without any barriers.

During our visit, we opted to dine outdoors, and despite the chilly weather, the restaurant provided outdoor heaters to keep us warm and comfortable. This attention to detail and commitment to customer satisfaction further enhance the overall dining experience at Mi Dia, making it a standout choice for anyone looking to indulge in exceptional...

First time dining at Mi Dia From Scratch. We ate at the Grapevine location on 11/4/23. The food we had was excellent, but the service did not match the quality of food. From the moment our server greeted us we felt rushed. He asked if we wanted any drinks and seemed annoyed that I asked to see a drink menu. It was very clear throughout our visit that he was trying to turn tables as fast as he could. When our food came out, the guy that delivered our food was a complete opposite to our server. He was warm, friendly, and genuinely sincere. When the server brought out the dessert menu, he said I recommend this and didn’t give us an opportunity to review the full menu. When our server brought out our dessert he neglected to tell us that the filling inside the churro would be extremely hot. When my fiancée took a bite out of the churro the filling gushed out of the part she was holding and burnt her hand!!! My fiancée’s drink was excellent as was mine. However, I didn’t realize I was served the wrong, more expensive drink until the check came. We felt so rushed during our entire stay we no longer felt welcome there. We felt if we spoke up to have our concerns addressed, they would not be heard. We left before speaking with a manager and are now regretting that decision. After further reflecting on our visit, we don’t think the good food outweighs the terrible service we received. There are way too many dining options in the area and our first experience has left a very...

We decided to eat here after seeing they had 1300+ reviews and held 4.5 stars. Me and my family love all types of hispanic food and when going somewhere new we always start with the fajitas. Me and my wife both got the beef fajitas, her plate came out sizzling hot but mine on the other hand was no longer sizzling by the time it reached the table. The onions were SOOOO overcooked they were mushy and tasted horrible, and to top everything off, the beef fajitas were more and the rare side than the medium side and were SOOOO chewy. Everything was plated beautifully and service was ok, Mi Dia deffinately needs to put the same amount of attention to detail into flavor and texture as they do plating. Especially when eating at a restaurant at this price point. Also they dont have sodas on fountain, which I dont understand for an upscale restaurant. I tend to get my drink refilled 2-3 times on average when at a restauraunt, one drink is not enough in my opinion. And kids drinks were not refillable as well which is absurd, 7 dollars for a hotdog, rice and beans should come with free refills. With how many amazing hispanic restaurants there are out there (Glorias, Uncle Julios, Maria Cuca's) all of which are cheaper than Mi Dia, I dont see myself returning to Mi Dia. The Owner of Mi Dia should deffinately go try the three restaurants stated above so he/she can see the difference for themself.

Review of My Favorite Tex Mex Spot This place markets itself as an authentic Mexican restaurant, but it's more of an upscale Tex Mex indulgence—and there's nothing wrong with that. It's my go-to spot for a unique dining experience in the DFW area. The tacos (“quesadillas”) de huitlacoche (corn smut) are my top pick here. Not many places offer it, and although the recipe has changed a bit over the years, it's still the best item on the menu in my opinion. Happy Hour starts after 3 PM, offering discounts on their fantastic margaritas and a chance to try their unique cocktails. For the best service, make sure to ask for Maria. Other highlights: - The table-side guacamole is delicious. - The chips and red and green salsa are great. - The salmon is always well-cooked and beautifully presented. - The stacked enchiladas are perfect for satisfying a big appetite. The flip side review: While this spot isn't usually crowded, it's worth noting that many of the other dishes, like the fajitas and steak, are fairly standard and comparable to what you'd find at Chuys or Don Julio’s, though the classy atmosphere does set it apart. Summary: This is a great spot for happy hour or business meetings, thanks to its wide ranging menu offerings. However, outside of those, it's more of a place I'd use my corporate card for rather than my personal Amex.
