Let me tell you about my very recent and extremely poor experience at this Grapevine Mills Parkway location in Texas. The service I received from the (Hispanic?) gay man with shoulder length hair tied back in a ponytail who is also big and burly was absolutely horrendous. I pulled up to an empty drive thru and when I ordered my two Venti Frappuccinos and asked for a bacon and Gouda sandwich, his tone already sounded like I was being a hassle because he had to check if there were any left. Then of course I had the audacity to ask if the chicken sandwich with bacon was available instead, and his tone when he said, “Well which one do you want?” easily sounded like it could be paired with an eye roll even when I apologized, as a loyal paying customer, for wanting to switch my order. When I pulled up to the window, there was no smile when he greeted me, and he seemed quite annoyed as I watched him fidget with the POS system. When he handed me my order, he didn’t even ask if I needed a receipt. Then when my mom asked me for whipped cream, I relayed the message, apologizing and asking nicely if he could please add whipped cream to my order, and the man stared at me like I just asked him for something outrageous. Firstly, he should have asked if we wanted whipped cream in the first place when he took my order. All of the other Starbucks with great customer service I go to do. This man then tells me “Next time, if you want whipped cream, let me know over there” and points to the machine out back. I was dumbfounded. I told him it was completely unnecessary because I couldn’t believe this was the level of service I received. He proceeded to then tell me “I’m just saying you need to tell us next time because now you are holding up the line.” I asked for whipped cream, not another order. IT TOOK THE BARISTA TWO SECONDS TO ADD WHIPPED CREAM. I also don’t need to be informed of what to do when I order. The attitude, verbiage, tone, and complete lack of professionalism with which your employee treated me is unacceptable. I am in customer service management myself, and the employee you have should be fired. No one should be talked to like they are a child. I didn’t think that buying nearly $15 worth of coffee and food and asking for whipped cream serves as such a huge inconvenience for Starbucks. I also called the Starbucks location three times to try to speak with a manager and no one picked up all three times. This is the worst Starbucks location I have ever had the displeasure of ordering from. I never go to this location and I’m glad I am nowhere near it. I only stopped by on my way to the hospital to see my grandmother, and I still am astounded that this was my experience. Renovated in 2024. Have you heard of Starbucks Pilot Store? There’s currently only three locations and they’re all located in DFW Area of great state of Texas!
Starbucks Pilot Store - introduces and tests new products before they are available to the market. This was one of the first locations that acquired “Clover Coffee Machine.” Now you can find them in more locations.
“Clover Coffee Machine,” freshly grind and pour your coffee in less than a minute. If you listen very carefully, it makes fun sounds before it pours your coffee. Friendly reminder, while you stay at any Starbucks, your hot or cold coffee and tea are on the house.
Since they remodeled this location, in 2024, it’s much more roomy and cozy. When you first come in, to the right, you’ll find large, conference-size table with nine chairs. Above the table is a large, beautiful art piece of, “Green Coffee Branches.” The space where this table is located used to be a closed-off private room you could reserve, now available for everyone.
To the left of the main entrance, you will find more great seating options. Against the windows, there’s a large, leather bench with five tables with five additional chairs. More seating is available with seven comfortable green chairs around tables.
This location does get fairly busy and it can be difficult to stay here and get work done since the Wi-Fi can be spotty. Parking can be difficult depending on when you come here. They offer roughly 25 parking spaces with few handicap spaces.
I’ve been here before it was remodeled and improvements are significantly better. I think the staff do a great job, efficient and are friendly. I’ve had my drink brought to my table if I’m sitting down for a while or they offer large Pick-Up counter.
Patio offers twelve tables with twenty-eight chairs.

My wife and I are at a starbuck daily and just so happened we were in on the way back from DFW and made the mistake of stopping at this one. My wife ordered the same drink she has ordered at every other starbucks with out issues. Cinimmon Dolce mocha Frap. The young lady then sneared at us and said "don't you mean a Mocha Frap with cinimmon dolce". My wife said ok i guess. at this point the young lady said "you do dont need to have attitude"... Im sorry i did not major in "Starbucks terminology" in college so if we said it wrong cool not reason to have attitute with a paying customer. My wife said never mind please refund the money. The young lady in turn said "look I can make you any drink you want". No thank you please refund the money. At this point apparently we offeneded her delicate personality and she through a $5 gift card down and said take this it is easier". At this point I asked her for her name and instead of giving it to me she said " i can't beleive I am having this conversation". Wow I have never dealt with someone who turned a simple request into a battle. She obviously understood what the original request was but decided that she needed to take it upon her self to start a conflict. When asked to speak to a manager she said there was not one on shift. Ultimately I had to aske another empoyee to refund the money as she was at this point trying to be as confruntational as possible. I never comment online but since I could not get a managers number or name I needed to make sure this issues...
