Visited this restaurant on Saturday June 27th about 820 pm . We were seated very quickly(the best thing about the entire visit) and served chips and salsa. Then proceeded to wait to get a drink while multiple waitstaff and buss staff passed by us for over 15 min. Our waitress (Kelly I believe) chatted with another table (a coworker’s family) and walked around and talked to a few more coworkers. I finally asked a passing waitress if we could grab a few waters as we had been there awhile without drinks. Our waitress peeked her head around the corner(where she was waiting on customers who came in 10 mins after us) and said she would be right with us. She came over to the table and said she was on break and someone else’s was supposed to be taking care of her table and she would find out why we had sat there so long without even a glass of water or a “ be right with you response”, let me reiterate there was at minimum 4 or 5 other people working the floor who glanced over at us but kept walking. She then took our order for drinks and food. This is now 26 min into our visit. Drinks came and about 15 min later food came. The food was decent and fresh and hot, and she did give a refill of drinks at that point, although my carne asada was actually chunks of beef not the normal thin asada cut. We did not see her again for the rest of the meal and waited over 20 min to get a check until I flagged another waitress to bring it to us. Our total was 34.75$ good price for what we had I left a $7.00 (which is roughly 20%) tip in cash and paid the bill with my card. I get the charge and it’s for 42.00 which isn’t what was on the receipt nor what I signed for. Hmmm... maybe she added her own gratuity or an error? We will see in the morning. So decent food and very...

Saturday we decided to drive to Nevada City to check out the Prospectors Nursery only to discover they were closed 🤔 l'd like to apply to be a Vendor at their events! Hungry is as Hungry does, we drove to and through Grass Valley twice before deciding to try Maria's Mexican Restaurant! I love the Spanish Architecture inside and out. Always wanted a Pueblo "looking" home! We were seated in the large outside patio by a very attentive (and familiar) hostess! We ordered breakfast. Holy Moly. A whopper of loaded goodness! I was able to FLAG the hostess asking if she lived or worked in and around Old Town Auburn years ago saying l recognized her as one of my customers. Come to find out, she patronized my Shop and we chatted several times. I was amazed when she said she was a licensed Concrete/Cement Contractor, Owner! . She's physically fit and "cuts firewood" now for a living and hosting on the side. Since l was so fascinated with that whole property, she took us on a tour. Incredible theme and full dining experience there. She did remember me when l gave her my card. Thanks Lorraine for a nice welcome and, remembering. We'll dine there now atleast once a month! We recommend this...

"It's sad to say that only my first time there has been the best. Each time after has gotten worse and worse. Been there only a handful of times, and what will be my last time there ended with a fairly miserable experience.

To start things off, a large party reservation was made for outdoor seating a day prior to the gathering. The following day when they called to see if they could move the reservation earlier, they were told that no reservation was made in the first place. So we had to settle for very cramped indoor seating.

Secondarily, our waitress Jacquelyn, made a big stink about how the check may only be split 3 ways, and it was an absolute headache trying to get that sorted. This was not advertised while making the reservations, and it absolutely should be.

Lastly, my initial order was made incorrectly and I was given only a side of meat as my only food when I just asked for no beans with my meal. Mistakes and misinterpretions do happen, but that along with everything else, just made for a poor experience. I have had this meal before, but this time I was also given indigestion.

I am moving away and it is sad my last experience there was...

Maria's Mexican restaurant is one of the best places to eat in town. The atmosphere is always warm and inviting, with cheerful music playing in the background. From their outdoor patio area during the summer months to their giant circle bar inside, you can find a great spot for any occasion! The food at Maria's is fresh and delicious - my favorite dish has always been the shrimp fajitas! They're loaded with juicy shrimp, crisp bell peppers, red onions, tomatoes and cheese all served on a bed of fluffy flour tortillas. I also love that they offer a variety of sides like refried beans or Spanish rice - it really makes your meal complete! One bonus about Maria's is its convenient parking right in front of the building. This makes visiting this place even more enjoyable as you don't have to worry about finding a spot down the street. If you're looking for an amazing night out filled with delicious Mexican cuisine and great ambiance then definitely check out Maria's Mexican Restaurant! You won't be disappointed!

My Mom & I ate at Maria's a couple of weeks back cuz that was the closest restaurant that we could find to where we were staying in the area. I was disappointed cuz what I wanted to order which was a Chile Relleno to have with my meal but they didnt have any available that afternoon. So I ordered 2 Chicken Tacos, Rice, & Beans. Loved the crunchiness of the tacos & the Chicken was so delicious not greasy like at other Mexican restaurants I've tried & I'm usually picky with the refried beans but these were just right. Loved the vibe & the service was excellent. The next evening we visited again since Maria's is my nephews favorite place to eat & we treated him out for his High School Graduation dinner & this time I was able to try their Chile Relleno with my meal & it was delish. We were very satisfied customers.

I was up visiting my sister & I told her to find us a Mexican restaurant to go eat at. Because Mexican food is my favorite. So we went there & it was packed & we were told 45 min wait so we looked at each other & said wow this place must be good. So we went to put our name on the list & the hostess told my sister if there's room in the bar we could eat in there so we walked in and there were 2 spots at the end of the bar. So we sat down & ate awesome food and had incredible service and then my sister told me that her Margarita was the best she ever had. What a great place I will definitely go back.
