The Scoop Ice Cream Parlor — Restaurant in Gray

Disappointment. $4.40 for 1 scoop of ice cream seems high, but especially when we ordered 1 scoop in a bowl and 1 scoop in a waffle cone (same price for each) and the quantity of ice cream in each was VASTLY different! The bowl was barely even a full scoop at all...a hollow ball. And it tasted more like ice milk than a quality rich chocolate that we expected. The waffle cone was packed full and was more like 2+scoops and therefore a much better value and easier to "swallow" the price. The flavor was a very rich, extremely yummy coffee/mocha/caramel, so that is the only plus during this visit. The guy running the cash register was not very friendly or we would have talked to him about this discrepancy in the store. As it was, we learned a lesson and will not be back. But I will pass along to anyone that visits the scoop, BE SURE TO ORDER A WAFFLE CONE SO YOU GET YOUR MONEY'S WORTH! And a bit of advice...go get a 1/2 gallon Blue Bell at your local grocery (less than $10) and you'll get at least a dozen 4 oz. scoops out of it at less than $1 per scoop. Even adding the cost of the waffle cone you'll still come out less than half the cost! Good luck "Scoop" you're gonna need it! Fooled me once,...

This little ice cream shop is worth a try! The staff are always so sweet, and the building is always clean. The ice cream itself is delicious, and I love that we can sample new flavors before we commit. We've been- twice now, and we've had great experiences both times. We'll be regulars for sure, especially on Thursdays. :D

Past reviews will note that this little shop is a little more expensive than they expected, but I would gently remind everyone that this is a small, local business. You're not throwing that money into a corporate bank account; you're investing that money into your fellow local citizens and local economy. Support your local...

I actually found this amazing little ice cream shop by accident i was turning around too go too dairy queen for ice cream pulled in 1st parking lot little strip with 3 or 4 different shops look up and saw ice cream shop so I took that as a sign that I had too try it 😋 i got 1 scoop Salted Carmel Banana's foster & 1 scoop salted Carmel the 2 lady's behind counter was so sweet n they had several amazing flavors all looked so good the ice cream and waffle cone were both amazing fresh and tasted amazing will definitely be back it does have sit down area perfect...
