Let's just say..it's not the south(east). Better than others we've tried up here. Had pineapple chicken with lomein. Lots of pineapple. That's a plus. Lomein was just noodles in a sauce. No slivers of veggies. The grab rangoons were awful. Took one bite and threw the other in the trash. Go south and see what Chinese food is supposed to be like. No sweet tea. White tea and black tea that you can sweeten. That's not sweet tea. I tell you what, once you cross the Mason Dixon line things go downhill. The inside was very nice. It looked new and the ladies restroom was well stocked and very clean. Very important. Some people will look at the restroom first to see if they want to eat there. If the restroom is dirty it leads one to believe that the kitchen is dirty. That's the way it was explained to me. If you live in the North then it may be ok for you but if you're up here from the South you'll be disappointed. Sorry Chosen Wok, it's...
Read moreI don't think you will find a food place that gives you the same value for your hard earned buck. We can order a general chicken with fried rice and a side of lo mein noodles and split it and still have food left over. That's about six dollars a plate, and their food is consistent every time. Their pork dumplings are just plain yummy. Egg rolls, crab Rangoon, and sushi are very tasty as well. Staff is curtious, helpful and friendly. Tables were clean and ready to seat your whole family. Nice clean bathrooms as well. A simple order of lo mein really hits the spot all by itself. Buy a little extra and you've got a great late night snack or feed the kids. Theirs something for everyone on the menu. Chosen Wok is fast becoming one of my favorite restaurants in Great Bend. I should mention that most dishes are prepared fast, right in front of you. Quick, fresh and tasty, what more can you ask for. Love, love,...
Read moreThis place has gone completely downhill. It used to be fresh, but now seems to be premade frozen chicken and definitely not tempura breaded. It tastes almost identical to Chinese chicken you will find at a grocery store deli, but more expensive. Worst Chinese food I've had in years.
Old review: It's fast. It's made fresh right in front of you. It's cheap. And it is pretty much what you expect Chinese food to taste like in central Kansas. When I lived in Great Bend, I ate here frequently. It's been through new ownership since then, but is still a well-managed place. My only complaint concerns the lack of a fountain drink machine and ice dispenser. Almost every food place on Earth has one, so just pony up the money to Coke or Pepsi. Its absence really hurts the...
