La Nana — Restaurant in Great Bend

Had high hopes. We got there for dinner about 7:20pm and had to wait to be seated, fairly normal and not where the issue lied. 10 minutes into waiting another group came in, 5 minutes later we were seated. We waited about 5 minutes for someone to come to our table to take our drink order. The young man said he couldn't deliver the alcohol so it was going to be as few minutes for it to come to the table which is again understandable. When he brought the sodas to the table we asked for a large queso for our kids. The group that came in after us was seated several minutes later and a server met them at the table mind you were still waiting for a Pina colada. The server takes their drink order and cones right back with their alcohol and walks away. He returns to their table a few minutes later, takes their food order and goes to the kitchen. At this point we have been sitting for 20 minutes or more waiting for a pina colada and a server to take our order. The server walks past our table to go check on another table comes back and says "have I not gotten you yet?" We told him nobody has and we had been waiting for over 20 minutes for a pina colada and someone to take our order, he took our order and we canceled the Pina colada. We then waited about 30 minutes for our food to come out. The food was pretty good however, my daughter's chicken strips were refrigerator cold so she didn't eat them. I understand being busy because I have worked in the restaurant industry before and it can get hectic, but it is the host or hostesses job to let the server know they have a new table and then the server's job to take care of that table. With the lack of service that we had, the hour wait time just to eat, and my daughter's food not being up to par... Very likely we will not...

Cold food for my husband. Blah flavor. Had to Ask the other waitress that could speak English and understand us if the chicken strips were really chicken and she said yeah I had to ask them too because they look weird. They were Brown inside. My picky son would not eat them and said they were gross and he loves chicken strips. The menu showed homemade ones. These were from frozen processed. The one star's because he ate the fries and the tortillas were OK. The salsa is like tomato sauce with a little bit of flavor watered down. The refried beans get the other star. Not very clean either. Expensive. Would pay that for the restaurant that used to be there, but this is nowhere as good. Disappointed. Won't...
