I ate here on Wednesday April 24th of 2024. When my mother and I came in, there was a nice young man there behind the counter who served up delicious food. As we were eating, he was replaced by a young woman and her two kids, who we later found out was the owner, Aspen. Her 2 kids, who appeared to be about 4 and 6, ran behind the counter and initially to the back where the cooking appliances were. After their mom got there, the older girl eventually sat down behind the cash register with a tablet, but the younger boy began playing, first near the cash register, and then with the stack of yellow cups, of which eventually fell on the floor. The owner yelled at him, before putting the cups back up to be served to customers. When we left, out of concern for the children's safety, and the health of customers, we did contact the Greeley Police to report a child endangerment/neglect situation. I know that it was the owner, as I contacted the restaurant to speak to a manager or owner, and was surprised when the owner was the one who picked up the phone and identified herself as Aspen. Her response was that she did not have child care when she was short staffed, and needed the money. While I can understand the importance of making money, as both a preschool teacher and a mandatory reporter, I cannot condone endangering children, (or customers), for the pursuit of more money. In this situation, the restaurant should have been closed! Period! I don't know the outcome of the Police report, but I will not be coming here again, and I strongly recommend others not to support this business either. P.S. Corporate has been contacted about this...
Read moreJust went to the one on 10th in Greeley. Normally, this place has been satisfactory/adequate for a bar-b-que place. However, over the last year, both the food and the service have steadily declined. The last two times the brisket has been extremely dry and overcooked. Today, in addition to the brisket being the worst I have ever had from any bar-b-que place today (overcooked to the point of being burned), the jalapeno kielbasa sausage was undercooked. When I got out to the truck, I thought I had better check to see if I got everything. Good thing I checked, they left all the sides out of the bag. I had to go back in and get them. Additionally, the cashier acted as if I was putting her out with my picking up my online order. She got a little irritated and had to rush around to put it together...which is odd because I ordered ahead of time, online, and marked an 11:30 am pickup. I got there at 11:34, stood around waiting for them to help me (at the online pickup) until 11:43, and did not get out of there until 11:57...and again, missing my sides as well. Well, it is a bit of a drive to go to Loveland or Frederick, but, I think I will go that route and stick with either Serious Texas Bar-b-que or...
Read moreTldr; Took three people more than 20 minutes to make an order for two (meats and sides are prepared at the start of the day; all they had to do was fry some 5 minute wings and put meat in a bun). Left the restaurant and found out the order was completely wrong. Will not be returning.
I’ve worked at a Dickeys restaurant for two years. The item that takes longest to prepare is chicken tenders, at 5-6 minutes in the fryer. When I went in today to pick up an order, the restaurant had no line and was completely empty except for a couple who were already eating. The three workers I could see hadn’t even begun making the order, so it would stay fresh, and that’s fine. However, an order of two sandwiches, two already prepared sides (non fried), and a few chicken tenders taking three workers more than 20 minutes to prepare is not fine. That is outrageous. At longest, it should have taken 10 minutes, and even that is crazy for a completely empty restaurant and three people. Even worse, after leaving the restaurant, I found out they got the order wrong. Horrible experience, and I will not be returning to...
