WORST SERVICE great food. While I was at home watching our newborn, (starving since it's hard to cook any meal when giving your newborn all your attention), my man who just got back from workwwent to A&W to get two meals for us. He was gone for an hour and a half even though it's down the street. He was texting me the whole time saying he got one meal, and was sitting there waiting for the other burger and fries. The workers kept looking at him as he didn't eat his own food. Then finally after sitting for 30 mins he went to the counter and asked them to remake his cold food, and asked where the other meal was. Turns out they completely forgot about it somehow. And after we finally did eat he had to go to bed for work again.. that hour and a half would have been great to spend with him in our super busy lives.. A month later, yesterday, we needed food since both of us were too exhausted to cook, and we gave a&w another chance since we had a decent coupon. But this time with our meals the drinks were only half full. My man thought going through the drive thru this time would make the experience better, but they used this opportunity to give us soda that was literally half full. We didn't order a kids meal, a&w. Thanks a lot. You need new employees. Anyways, I don't care how good their food is. If the service is gonna be that crappy each time, I can't go. Culver's it is. So...
Read moreLast week when we ordered at the drive-thru, we thought that the quoted price seemed high so when we pulled around we informed the attendant that it didn't seem to be correct. He ran our credit card but agreed that it seemed wrong and that he didn't know how to "do it right". So he "went to look for a manager to help" and didn't return for a full fifteen minutes. At that time, he declared that he couldn't do anything about it. He would not void the transaction to ring up the items separately (we were charged both for 3 items and an additional cost for the "combo meal") or really make any concessions, though he again agreed that we were vastly overcharged. He then proceeded to basically push us out of the drive-thru, despite making us wait for so long and stealing our money. It was a pretty crummy experience all-round, so I would not recommend visiting unless you want to pay $21 for a combo meal (seriously. I have the receipt).
The food was delicious though :)
Edit: I wrote to the store about this experience and they did mail us $20 in gift cards, which was nice. I hope that they also provide training to their workers so that this doesn't happen again...
Read moreI love the music, I didn't want to leave; it was a very comfortable environment. I didn't appreciate the request for tips, it's a fast food restaurant, I'm standing in front of a cash register and I have to mind my own utensils, napkins and seasonings. Then I have to pick up my own trash -nothing is going to be washed, everything is disposable- and try to leave everything the way I found it. Just because the food is not ready and eventually an employee brings it to the table that is not a waiting service. I leave a tip if I go to the restaurant, get seated or sit myself and I have nothing to do but enjoy the food and the place. Note: I am not complaining about the disposable items, OR the food. Not even the service, everyone is professional and polite doing their job. The complaint is about asking for extra money for no extra...
