Super expensive! If you think Starbucks is pricey you don't want to go to Scooters. The menu prices aren't what they actually charge. They aren't upfront about how much your order will be. I've tried many places that sell coffee and most of them that charge $4+ for a small tea have exceptional service and tea options. Scooters had like 5 options for tea and they were average. No fruity, sweetened, or unique options.
I went to Scooters today to use a $2 off coupon for downloading their app. I ordered something I thought was $2.25 expecting to pay $0.25. Nope. I paid $1.75. Why? Because I guess each flavor of a small tea is priced differently even though the only menu you have to go off of was the one listed in the drive thru. What about online, you might ask. Well, they have no phone number listed to ask questions before going and no prices either. Good luck if you expect to get something cheap or reasonably priced there.
My tea was an average minty one that wasn't special in any way. I am disappointed to say the least. I get that they need to charge a lot to keep their business afloat with all of the competition but this specific location is placed in a low-income area and charging more than Starbucks is definitely a gamble. I hope the best for them and will probably be back for my free birthday drink.
One last thing, they only serve breakfast food so be warned if you're hungry and don't want eggs at...
Read moreI read reviews before taking a chance and stopping here instead of Starbucks, the reviews things like "better than Starbucks" "cheaper than Starbucks"... under the cold drinks menu it said pumpkin cold foam, so I assume this was a drink it was under the drink menu after all, the person who took my order had to school me about this, so I ordered a 16oz pumpkin latte over ice instead, I was absolutely shocked when she said the total $5.95 I should have said no thanks and went to Starbucks, but still anticipating this was going to be good I went ahead with the order. After I paid and she handed me my cup with coffee dripping down the side, I couldn't even get the straw in without it leaking out of the lid. To me the drink was very comparable to McD's iced coffee, certainly not almost $6 worth. I can see how this would appeal to young people who are looking more for a sugary drink over a coffee forward drink.. will be skipping scooters for Starbucks next time. I did love the catch phrase the lady said "scoot right over for your order" I was saying that the...
Read moreI was their 3rd customer when they opened a couple weeks ago. I was so excited to try this place and it is great they are on my way to work. I ordered a Caramelicious Blender and breakfast burrito. I could barley tell the blender had any caramel flavor. The burrito was just zapped in their microwave and it was soggy and also not much flavor. I thought maybe it's their first day and they are just getting the hang of things. Few days later I went back for a Mocha blender. Same thing. I couldn't taste any flavor except the coffee. Today I went again. I got the Caramelicous Blender and asked for extra caramel flavor this time. Once I got up to the window to pay they charged me way more then I was expecting. I asked about the price and was told they charge .60 extra for each extra shot. Once I got to work and looked at my receipt I found I was charged twice for one extra shot. Not happy with this. The upside is the drink had...
