I came to the Texas Roadhouse in Whitmore Lake to celebrate my birthday with six other guests. I called ahead to get on the waitlist since I had a larger party, my guests and I arrived a little early and they were able to seat us almost immediately. They took us to a table that sat six of us comfortably but one of my guests was stuck sitting at the table extender with the uncomfortbale chair in the middle of the aisle. I wish I would have known that they were unable to acomodate a party of seven as it was not my intention to make one of my guests feel like a pariah. I was also unaware that I was sat next to the busser hangout area. A group of three to four bussers stood and chitchatted adjacent to our table in the middle of the aisle while dirty dishes and empty glasses sat on our table the whole time we were at the roadhouse. They were not quick to move out of the way of an older gentleman with a walker trying to make his way to the bathroom, they were quick to laugh at him when he tripped over one of their bussing bins they left in the aisleway. Very upseting and dissapointing to see. Our server was very innatenive, we only saw her three times throughout our visit, and when she did come to the table it was hasty and not kind. One of my guests did not recieve her entree until we had all finished our meal. Though, the manager who brought out my guests meal was very sweet and apologetic. As for the rest of our meals, they were lukewarm at best. We never saw our server again after she checked in with us halfway through our entrees. Never came back to check if my guest recieved their entree, we were never offered dessert, or refills after that point. Three of my guests and myself also experienced symptoms of a food bourne illness later that night and into the next day as well, we all ordered a side house salad with ranch. Very off putting, I would reccomend that any future diners steer clear of their salads. I am a server, and have been for over 5 years, so I would consider myself more understanding than the average diner, but my experience there was very dissapointing. Especially considering that this is the second time I've dined at Texas Roadhouse, with the same guests, and the prior experience was the exact same, with the exception that two of my guests entrees were cold...
Read moreWe came in on a Friday a couple weeks ago. It was very busy and the wait was long and looked a little chaotic(probably not ran well)but we had time and I want to give this place 1 more shot to serve great food. I forgot our waitresses name but she was amazing the whole time. Got our drinks right away. We ordered a appetizer,Cheese Fries, they were not great. The cheese wasn't even melted. We ordered our food. The food did take a while but I understand that it was busy. How would that be the servers fault? She did keep up on our drinks and kept us happy. Then... the food came out I got a sirloin Medium Rare and my husband got small Ribeye supposed to be cooked Medium. That's not how it came out. BOTH steaks were well done. They offered to remake them. I was hungry and just ate it. My husband got his recooked. We both got mashed potatoes and green beans. We couldn't eat them because they were so salty. (This all happened again like the first time) She offered us new sides and that she will have a manager come talk with us. It took forever for a manager, but we were patient and would never take anything out on the server. Eventually,I'm guessing the manager came over and apologized and offered to take some off the bill. I told her it was OK and we will still pay because it's not their fault. I understand it gets busy , not everything can be perfect or go right. The hospitality was amazing, food not so much. She ended up taking the sides off and that was very nice of her. As a former server I'm surprised at some of these reviews. Alot of times it's not their fault. They don't have control on how your steak was cooked or that the food was horrible. They have to ID every sinlge person not very many exceptions on that because so they can lose their job. They have to sell as much as they can,so asking if you want anything on your potatoes or soups is what they have to do. I will try to come again and maybe order something other than steak.. Our server was amazing. I wish I...
Read moreThe place was packed when we got here (Around 7:45pm) We were seated promptly, our waitress took our drink order and set out plates for bread (1 plate had food stuck to it still so she got us a clean one) After we got our drinks we placed our order, it was so loud around us that she had a hard time hearing us place our order and we had to yell. After our order was placed we had to ask a separate waitress to fond our waitress so we could get bread (our favorite part) Bread was served shortly after, but was room temperature at best. Our appetizer came out and it was good. Soon after, our food came out. I ordered the sirloin medallions which was supposed to come smothered with peppercorn sauce (and was not, it was on the side) It should have been served over a bed of seasoned rice (no rice was served). â Freshâ vegetables were raw and hard/crunchy. My son ordered a burger well done and although he claimed it tasted fine, it looked like a smash burger. My husband ordered a half slab of ribs w fresh veggies and mashed potatoes for sides: his ribs were literally COLD and the veggies were raw. Once our food was served our waitress didnât even come check on us to ask how it was, we had to (once again) summon another waitress to go get our waitress and the assistant manager came over and we explained how unsatisfied we were with our meals. Both meals were corrected, however I was extremely surprised to see no compensation on the bill. We love the Novi location and Brighton is MUCH closer to us but we definitely wonât be coming back to...
