It can be a miserable experience going through fast food drive thru service portals. When it's wrong and that's usually on the worst possible ocassion it can be more of a hassle to go back and get it correct than its worth. So, for me, it's always with a bit of resignation that I allow myself to join the other hopefuls and limp forward into the double headed queue of the 12AM McDonald's line.
However, this particular McDonald's is like a "throwback," a throwback to times when customer service was a reality and not just a word bandied about by people who had never truly experienced it or seen it modeled--to a time when a service station attendant pumped your gas, checked your oil and water, and washed your windshield before taking your payment--to a time when there were no self service drink dispensers in restaurants.
The food in this McDonald's is not only hot and fresh but is made exactly the way you order it, down to the smallest detail. I have never asked for five pickles, no mustard and double ketchup on my quarter pounder with bacon and cheese; but, for some reason, I believe that I could do so and receive the same. It may be that it's me feeling nostalgic. It may be that someone knows what the heck they are doing in this particular franchise because it holds true for this fast food establishment what holds true for the ones I visit 5 or more times--the service quality remains the same. Just like I receive fair to poor service everywhere else--I receive superior service at this particular location. It may be that I don't eat fast food a great deal and I usually do so at the same places because of scheduling and somehow skewed that me to sample the poor service end of the bell curve by an anomoly, doubt it.
Finally, I want to reveal that I have no connection with anyone who owns, manages or works at this particular McDonald's nor any McDonald's franchise nor have I ever been an employee of McDonald's in this city, state, country, planet or this distinct area of the multi-verse.
I am not writing this review to hail and shower praise on the workers and managers at the franchise for delivering service that I now rate superior but you once received no matter where you ate or you didn't go back again. Try that strategy today and you will go hungry! I am writing this review, however, for people like me who would appreciate a pleasant surprise and like to go through a drive thru or get curbside or carryout and receive hot, freshly made food just the way they ordered and have it served by friendly, well mannered people who act in a professional fashion! Read moreAbsolutely horrible customer service! After paying for my order, I was handed my sandwich and asked to pull forward as my coffee wasn't ready yet. They told me they would bring it right out. I watched countless cars pull through and many coffees handed out while I waited. I had my dog with me, so I continued to wait. Over ten minutes went by and still no one came out. I finally left my car running with the a/c on for my dog and ran inside myself. After flagging down someone to inquire about my coffee, I am simply told "the machine is broken" and I was left standing at the counter. I asked the next employee I saw if the manager was available. Several minutes went by before a very annoyed looking woman stepped to the counter and asked what I needed. I told her what has happened. She simply shrugged and said the machine broke after they asked me to pull forward. When I asked her why no one came out and informed me...why they waited until I came in...she shrugged again and just said "sorry". She then handed me the mocha I had ordered, the cup literally covered in chocolate on one side. I asked her if she thought this was acceptable customer service. She mumbled that I can deal with her general manager then and literally turned and walked away! The cashier to my right looked as stunned as I did. Other patrons commented on the rude treatment and I stood there momentarily dumbfounded. The GM did appear shortly thereafter and promptly refunded my money. Read moreHonestly I wish more people would post their opinions because I thought it was kind of slow and a never paid attention to their orders anyway but now that they have these pay in a lobby Posts, all the register people want to do is get you to do that and then they can't even fix the right meals for each person people are waiting around and it should not take 40 minutes If everyone is pitching in and doing the right thing not only that making people use those instead of taking the register should just do your job if you are a cashier try to help and get other things together and if someone wants to use those posts allow them but don't push them into it. I really do not like McDonald's anyway it's just come really down from a few years ago even then it wasn't all that good and it's really not all that cheap and it certainly is in fast and people get paid a lot of money to stand around don't have to go to college in all of that stuff and seemed to get lazier and lazier and I feel really badd for the ones who are really working in their.
