These are the BEST MOST AUTHENTIC TACOS IN ALL OF PALM BEACH COUNTY AND PROBABLY FLORIDA!!! They taste so so so amazing and fresh that they make me break out into the Macarena and forget EVERYTHING... Literally, I forgot my brand new ipad there once, the tacos are THAT good! THANKFULLY, not only is their food outstanding, but so are the friendly, honest, hardworking Senõrs and senõritas that make El Rey Del Tacos THE VERY BEST in the state because the most unbelievable thing happened: they quickly secured my forgotten ipad inside their business to await my return!! The next day, when I realized my mistake, I phoned them and they made my week when they told me that they had it safely set aside for me to pick up... And when I showed up to get it, I was treated to two of their delicious Carne Asada tacos with lots of lime wedges, yummy grilled onions and jalapenos on the side and several types of fresh salsa to dress up the tacos with(my favorite is the guacamole salsa).
El Rey Del Taco may seem unassuming from the outside... Its your classic taco stand: a simple 30x8 kitchen trailer with a few small, round tables under a canopy, with a scattering of large ice coolers from which customers may grab an ice cold bottle of Coke or Jarritos to quench their thirst while waiting for their order. However, it's just like your momma told you... It's what's inside that counts(not that the atmosphere is a negative, quite the opposite. The no frills, honest, casual setting is perfect)... The food and the staff members are AMAZING AND AUTHENTIC!!! El Rey Del Taco is HANDS DOWN the VERY BEST at what they do!!! Easily one of the best eateries in PERIOD in...
Read moreThis was my first visit to the Lantana Green Market, which on a Friday evening turns a small public area into a fantastically exciting party. Tonight was Havana Night celebrating a locals birthday and Cuban Culture. Filled with local vendors such as Emilio and his family churning out some homemade fantastic jams and other subsides, to a charming young lady selling insanely good homemade cookies and a wonderful older man selling insect eating plants. What did it for me was, aside from the fire eating belly dancer, was the rotating spit of Pastor from the folks at El Rey Del, which have their flagship truck parked on Military ave in West Palm Beach. It’s hard to find a true pastor down here like you know and love in Mexico, but it was exciting just to see it spinning. The trio pictured consisted of a chorizo, carnitas and of course the pastor. All were served on warm fresh tortilla and had the fresh grilled onion and homemade hot sauces that are all delish. The chorizo wasn’t crispy enough for me (even though I asked for a bit more char) and the carnitas was a tad dry. The pastor, however, did it the job thoroughly and satisfied that craving. A very lovely...
Read moreWent to there new location they just opened up. I have to say it has been by far the worst Mexican food I ever ate. The food was cold and I found a hair in my burrito. The lady that took my order doesn't know what comes with it I asked for no vegetables in my rices she says it dont come with come to find out it had carrots, peas and avocado all in it. My carnitas was mostly all fat and looked old. Not to mention that the owner of the place is very disrespectful to his staff yelling at them in front of customers and having little kids running around the place and playing with kitchen equipment aswell. Which in my eyes and I'm sure to alot of other people that is very unsanitary. First and last time I go there. I'm just going to stick wit Tacos Al Carbon
