So… it might be partially my fault—my work is close to Rama v, we eat lunch there once a week, sometimes more, and my old neighborhood Thai joint was Malakor—these are two of the best Thai joints in pbc, so the bar for this place was relatively high. Adding to the expectations is that sticky rice is more expensive than both of these places, while operating in a cheaper rent location. This was a massive disappointment given the price. I got the pork Panang curry (hot) and chicken satay. If these items were $5 cheaper each to reflect the level of execution, this place would be an easy 4 star if not 5. As it stands, this is one of the most expensive Thai places in pbc with a very average, if not slightly below average, execution level. To be honest, Im a retired chef (cancer), I understand the difficulties of the industry, and I would not be critiquing it like this were it not for the prices. I’ll start with the positive.
The panang curry was good. I asked for it spicy. It was made spicy. Very good. The execution of the vegetables and the pork was solid, the pork was slightly overcooked which is okay and the vegetables were sautéed perfectly. It was seasoned well and it tasted good and I would order it again if I went back. There are a couple problems with the dish though. First, there is not much coconut or sweetness for what is famously a sweet coconut curry. It is a good tasting dish, and I would recommend it, but it’s missing 2 of the 3 flavor elements of a panang curry. The bigger concern is that the curry itself was not reduced at any point during the cooking process. It is incredibly thin and this was a trend in both sauces this restaurant served me. This is a basic execution skill I would expect from any restaurant that charges me $27 for a meal for one person.
The chicken satay is maybe one of the worst dishes I have ever had in a restaurant. Easily bottom 20. For $9 you get half of a small chicken breast fileted into three slices, not seasoned (at all, literally 0 salt or anything else), overcooked, and covered in oil. How something can be bone dry, while also sopping wet (covered in oil) is a mystery that not even 15+ years experience prepared me to be able to answer. The peanut sauce is more coconut milk than peanut (which, maybe it should be by weight but not in flavor) and, once again, razor thin.
If I do go back, it will only be because it’s the only Thai restaurant within a one mile radius of my house. They should not be charging mid-high prices while offering mid-low quality ingredients cooked by...
Read moreI've been a customer here for several years with never any complaints. My last experience here was so terrible it will be my last. Only one other customer was in the restaurant with us for the majority of the Saturday evening. It took 20 mins for anyone to acknowledge us and take a drink order. After waiting another 20 mins to place an order and attempting to get the servers attention, my friend had to actually go tell them we were ready to order. When questioning the price of a meal, they later returned saying it would cost more so my friend asked to see the menu again to re-order. No menu was ever brought back until re-asked, another 15 mins later. The process of ordering our food took over 60 mins. Our food eventually started to arrive.....first soul then later sushi. The soup bowls were never cleared from the table nor the menu. Drinks were never refilled. Anytime we needed anything we physically had to go get the server. The other diners experienced the same situation; literally had to wave their hands in the air to get service. While the server was taking the other people's order, he stopped midway to go get someone else's take out order. With multiple take our orders being prepared, the servers were clearly having noticeable arguements. I wish I would have gotten up and left but I kept giving them the benefit they would improve the circumstances, never happened. Worst customer service I have ever experienced. If going here, I would only do take out since they provide no customer service to diners. Sad, this use to be my favorite place, the food is phenomenal but with this last experience, I will be finding a new...

There’s a Caucasian Male who delivered my food who I thought was the delivery driver , which I later found out that he might be the manager , which I still choose not to believe because of how rude & aggressive / unprofessional he was. When going there to return the food he was very unprofessional as soon as I worked in letting me know his the manager and he would not serve me what I ordered and didn’t receive ! I ask for my money back for the tip and he got really nasty ! The food was not only visually un appetizing at least what we wanted and ordered. But the way this man was unprofessional and Rude set it all the way off ! Either y’all fire him , or you won’t be In Bussiness for long !!!! NEVER ORDERING HERE AGAIN, and in the words of him I will take my bussiness somewhere else !! P.s Save your money and go somewhere where you feel happy to eat good food, with...
